The house has been designed in tek and under a special project. It is just smashing and you will have a wonderful' surprise with the design giving a peaceful atmosphere.
The owner is very nice and likes to share and talk.
I strongly recommend also for the price.

The staff were very helpful. They gave us advice on where to go and what to see and the day we were leaving organised transport for us to get to the bus station.
While the location means there is some noise from the traffic (we used earplugs at night), it is also very convenient for visiting the old city.
There were four choices for breakfast. We tried the two western style ones. The waffles were good but the lunches were particularly good.
The rooms are small (only 3) and the walls are very thin. You can hear everything from the next room.
The bathroom is curtained off from the bedroom which may not suit everyone.
We would stay again if we were in Phrae.

The primary reason for any hotel is to sleep, in this hotel it is almost impossible to sleep due to the extremely thin walls and it's position next to a busy intersection. The noise goes on all night. On top of the traffic noise there is the constant noise from what I assume to be the industrial refrigerators from the cafe below. Unless you are used to sleeping with lots of traffic noise then don't stay here.
Arrival at the hotel is difficult no obvious parking on a busy road, it turns out you can park in the police station opposite.
Check-in reminded my of the Fawlty Towers episode the American, as you are asked to choose your breakfast before you sign the registration card.
The room is very small albeit quaint and 'oldy worldy' although probably due to it's size the room has some impracticalities such as the bedside lamps taking up all of the room on the bedside tables, no obvious place to plug in the kettle. The bathroom is small but clean and functional.
One last amusing joke by the owners is to put up a sign with the words "Please do not make a loud noise" very droll indeed Fawlty.
If sleep is on your agenda then find another hotel.

This was our first time in Phrae, and some friends we were visiting picked the Gingerbread House for us. We were very happy with their choice. It is very well located near the old city center, has an attractive little cafe and excellent shop/gallery on the ground floor, and just a handful of small rooms above.

Everything is designed and decorated with flair and with intelligent use of limited space, and it is owned and managed by a delightful couple who have turned the tiny site into an oasis of good taste. The owners speak very good English which would be most helpful for non-Thai speakers visiting Phrae.

The rooms are small, but perfectly functional and comfortable. Breakfast is taken in the cafe, and the coffee is excellent!

I would happily stay here again if the occasion arises.

Lovely Guesthouse 1200 baht
Cozy wooden B&B located right at intersection, opposite police station. Ground floor having Coffee shop and restuarant very lifely during the day. Interior of the room is contemporary Thai style with teak wood.
