When I dined here in December 2015, El Nandu was THE place to go. It was busy, and we waited for at least an hour, but we were also a big group. While waiting, I drank a delicious caipirinha. The food was fantastic and so was the wine that accompanied it. It was a perfect place for eating out on a warm summer night!

A great place for some good quick service and good food.
They have a huge parilla going with all the meat you can imagine

This time i went for fish, A huge fresh trout was bar-b-qued perfectly! probably the best i have had in a while.

The plates are big enough to feed 2 people, so share everything

Definitely go back

If you are staying in Buenos Aires, this place will not be easy or convenient to reach but if you are ambitious or have friends to take you, this is worth the trip. San Isidro is part of "Greater Buenos Aires" and a ways out of town — at certain hours, traffic makes this suburb unreachable. The restaurant is big but divided into smaller, cozier interior and exterior spaces. I was there on a Sunday night and the place was packed! We sat near the grill which was fun. The guy who cooks is a master. Food is delicious with a few variations on traditional fare (goat cheese provoleta for example). If you aren't accustomed to eating A LOT of meat, share one entre—portions are very generous!
