The location, the friendly staff and the relaxing ambiance away from the metropolis are some of the things I like the most in Paras Beach Resort. White Sandbar a few minutes away in front is very inviting and the boat that would take u there is just beside the resort.
Rooms are small, no elevator going to 3rd floor, but they have hot shower and towels can be requested if you go on boat rides. Food is good and can also be packed by request on outside tours.

I will preface this review with the comment that the resort is undergoing renovation so things may get fixed in due course.
The lobby area has recently been upgraded is very pleasant with plenty of places to sit and relax. The check in was lengthy and it didnt need to be. Taking each couple through the rules individually is treating people like children.
The room was dated, and there were many things faulty - door lock, window that wouldn't lock closed, hot water heater that didn't heat, toilet that flushed poorly, lights that crackled when turned on, one bed side light that turned off when you sat on the bed, safe that didn't work. The room was also dark with dark paint and curtains that could only be opened by undoing the velcro tape. Cleanliness we found ok.
Breakfast was included in the price and was ok, but wait times could be lengthy if busy.
Dinner was likewise ok with again waiting times and prices a little higher than elsewhere.
The pool is a nice area and the gardens surrounding quite pleasant.
The resort runs its own boats to white island which is a short ride away.
Airport or seaport shuttles can be arranged. Its 500php from the airport for up to 12 persons.
Other tours can be arranged at a cost. We found a local guy who took on tours much cheaper.
The resort is certainly very prompt with their email correspondence with you and in answering questions.
Check out was incredibly slow. Its typical of many hotels in this part of the world that have to check that you haven't shoved the bed in your luggage before you leave.
Overall, an average stay but things may improve as the renovation concludes.

Lovely place with lovely food and great views (and direct boat access) over the white Island. Reasonable rates for clean and well appointed accommodation. Very quiet while we were there but staff were very attentive and more than happy to accommodate our wishes and all food requests. Went scuba diving and was unexpectedly the only customer, so had the dive masters sole attention we found around 9 huge sea turtles at approximately 13 metres depth, very memorable trip. Highly recommended.
