Visited this place on my first trip to the Philippines. Paid for a deluxe room but got put out the back. We complained and After 2 nights were eventually relocated. Staff not too friendly and food not good. Not overly impressed with this place.

The resort is near to attractions, has a nice receiving area where you can have drinks or dine in. Availed 2 rooms, 1 ocean view (in front of the ocean) and 1 deluxe room (in front of the pool). Better beds in the ocean view room and has larger space. It was raining during the evening, pool was not kept clean. Breakfast can be served in the rooms. Ice cubes are not served for free. But overall, if you're looking for a quiet place to relax, this is one of the places to be.

Room Tip: Ocean View for better view of the sunset. Deluxe rooms have a distinct smell for enclosed rooms.

We were married at the Golden Sunset and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. Susan and Philip helped us immensely to cater and organize our wedding. We stayed here 2 months, and we had cabins for our guests, the wedding facilities were amazing, since it over-looked the ocean, and a roof over our head for any weather conditions. The resort is set on ocean front, which for Camiguin Island is rare and the beach safe to swim in. Yes there are cheaper places to stay on the island, but what the heck, you're staying on the ocean with a swimming pool and there is room service. The front rooms on the ocean are amazing, for those who want to hear ocean waves at their door step. Good location, close to White Island transport, in Yumbing, a stretch of road with restaurants and a small market in walking distance. Scooters can be rented here on the resort. Over all a great place to stay for couples and family. The two rental rooms can sleep 6 people or more, to keep costs down for families. For couples, highly recommend the ocean front rooms, an experience living smack on the ocean.

It'a a nice enough room, clean and not too small. the one we chose has 2 beds: queen and a single. The staff while not too friendly are not rude either. this may be because they don't want to intrude on the privacy of the guest. If you want to order something just approach them. The pool is nice to hang around when we just want to relax in the hotel and not go anywhere. Be careful when walking around the beach since you might step on dog poo, so better not to go walking in the dark. I hope they will improve on the wifi so it will be available inside the rooms and not just in the common area. Bring your mosquito repellent lotion.

If one is looking for a great and beautiful place to visit, Camiguin Island Golden Sunset Beach Club is the place! Not only that there is tranquility in the resort, it also has a staff that will make you feel at home. Susan, the owner is totally awesome.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the ocean are excellent! I'll rate this place 5+++
