I stayed here for 4 nights in November last year with a friend. The views are absolutely stunning. The rooms are slightly run down but the lobby, pool area and other facilities were kept in good condition.

The massages there were great as well.

As there is no where else to go apart from the resort everything from food to tours can get quite pricey but all in all I had a great time.

We had an AMAZING stay at BBL with a group of about 20 family members.

It's about a 45 min drive from Coron Town and the airport. Upon entering you are greeted to music, drinks and they put a banana leaf necklace around your neck.

The service is very good with smiles from most and the food and drinks were excellent from the restaurant.

The main pool and restaurant is absolutely breathtaking!! The views are just world class!!

Only gripe is there's no beach. The resort has its own gorgeous private beach island but it costs 3000php per person to spend the day there which includes all inclusive food and drinks.

Tours are also much more expensive from the resort. Grab all the tour flyers from the airport so you can book with them from the hotel. The only additional cost is the bus ride from the hotel but it's still way cheaper than the hotels tours. We went with Calamian Tours and they were fantastic!

There's free kayaking at the resort which is fun. There's some interesting points of interest to kayak to. Theres a stranded airplane directly in front of the resort and a mangrove forest to the left of the resort.

Overall we absolutely loved this place!

For most people planning a trip to Palawan, access to world class, white sand beaches should be a given. This was the#1 issue we had with this resort. It was NOT clearly stated on their website that there was no beach AND that guests aren't able to go in the water, surrounding the resort, due to jelly fish. They can take you by boat to a small island where you can spend the day at the beach, but for a price (approx $60/pp, including all you can eat lunch and drinks). I wish we were fully aware when we booked this resort. It would've been disastrous had it not been for the awesome staff who really took good care of us the entire week. We knew them by name. They are the reason for the 4-star rating in spite of the disappointment about not having access to the beach. The resort is well maintained, rooms are all clean and spacious and fronting the water. Very warm welcome and send off by the staff were added touches. Breakfasts were included with our room rate and they had a bar we would visit everyday for happy hour. Our favorite meals were off menu items, mostly catch of the day seafood dishes, delivered to our room. We spent the week booking sea and land tours, getting massages at the spa or lounging at the pool. Those are basically the only activities available to guests right now. Hopefully, in the future, they include access to South Cay beach as part of the package, especially when guests are staying a week or more. The only other feedback they need to work on is poor Wi-Fi (mine only worked when I sat right in front of the check in counter, no Wi-Fi anywhere else in the resort) and the resort did not have an emergency protocol for boats in distress. Our guide only had a very old, unreliable cellphone to call in emergencies. Luckily, another guest was able to contact the resort on her cellphone to request for emergency assistance. BBL should install radios in their boats and provide guides with proper training on what to do in an emergency. Overall, as long as guests are aware of the above-mentioned drawbacks, we would recommend this resort to others.

Dear JeppneyGirl,

Please allow us to thank you for writing this sincere review. We are bothered that some information about our had misled you. We are a bay side property with stunning views of greenery and oceans. We have an exclusive beach club with white sand beach which is 45 minutes away by outrigger boat for extra cost. We are still under negotiations with a network to improve our cellular signal and wifi connectivity. We also apologized that our guide's did not have proper communication tool during your tour but prompt measures had been taken already.

Thank you for commending our staffs. They are so glad to have read this review. Hopefully you will still consider our resort for your future trips.

Warm Regards,

We stayed at the Sea Front Rooms during the peak season (New Year's Eve).
Rooms were spacious with complete amenities.
Pool had a beautiful elevated view of the bay and nearby islands.
Good complimentary facilities/amenities - kayak, paddle board, snorkeling gear, fishing rod, table tennis.
Convenient 10 minute boat ride to the dive shop. (great for divers!)
Warm & friendly service. Staff and management are flexible and try to accommodate requests.
Food was a bit pricey but quality and quantity was very good.
Tours / island hopping seemed quite expensive.
As it was peak season, service at the restaurants was quite slow so we would pre-order ahead of time and have it served at a specified time.
Overall-- beautiful, quiet, premium resort.

Busuanga Bay Lodge is beautiful. The photos do not do it justice. It was the best hotel we stayed in the Philippines. Truly epic.
The staff are also super friendly. We ordered food twice and it wast super hot (i have a thing about this) .. so we mentioned this. The next meal was served pipping hot. They really care about your stay and wellbeing. It was a perfect stay for my fiancé and i.
