We stayed in Casa do Farol which was right down near the water. The staff made us feel immediately welcomed with wine, bread, strawberries and chocolates waiting when we arrived
The house was wonderfully clean and well decorated - it was like being at home without the clutter

WAUW, the lady who ownes the houses is very very friendly, she explained us everything.
We had the house close to the sea with the original interiour. It was amazing, at night we heard the waves, very calm... A experience never to forget...

We spent 4 nights in September at Casa do Porto. Sylvia gave us a warm welcome and provided much-needed assistance with some travel problems. The house contained everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect and we loved spending our evenings on the large terrace with a glass of wine looking out over the ocean. Although it was a bit of a drive from Madalena, we definitely felt it was worth the time. Wish we could have stayed longer as we did not have the time to do everything we wanted to on Pico. We would not hesitate to stay there again!

Stayed for a week with my husband in Adegas do Pico and had a wonderful time. The cottage we stayed in was very well equipped with cooking utensils etc, and the rooms were comfortable and of a good size. But the main thing - the view. Oh my goodness, it was stunning! Every evening we would sit outside and relax just looking at the beautiful view of the ocean and the surrounding countryside. You do need a car if you're going to stay here as there's not much within walking distance (just a bakery and a pizza snack-bar basically) but you're best getting a car anyway, as there's some wonderful countryside on the island to explore.
The lady that showed us the property (the owner, as I believe the person who normally manages things was away that day) was very helpful and friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat etc. The only slight downside was that the 'manual' left in the cottage said that housekeeping would come by every 3 days to change towels etc but we did not receive any visits during our 7-night stay. Not sure if this was maybe a communication mix-up, and it wasn't a huge deal, but it did mean that our bins did not get emptied, and we actually ran out of toilet paper on our last day!
The house also seemed to have a family of cats (1 momma and 5 kittens) who hung around a lot which I loved, and they would come and greet us every time we approached the house. Am sure if you didn't like cats they'd soon make themselves scarce, but for me it was just an added bonus :)
All in all, a wonderful stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back!

The last 4 nights we stayed at Adegas do Pico in the Casa da Vinha house. We loved the peace, quitness and the amazing view as well as the rustic traditionel house. The house had all the necessary equipment, allthough because of the good wheather we mostly stayed outside in the beautifull garden using the barbecue to cook and light a fire.
The welcome and hospitality of Sylvia when we arrived was great and she showed us all the places on the island and arranged a whale tour for us.
At the house we had the pleasure of a cat, who came back the second day with her kittens. They caused no problems (sound or something like that), they just were amazing.
Overall we would really recommend this for everybody. Great place, nice people, beautifull surroundings, bakkery and supermarket at close (driving) range plus everything at the island within reach.

We came here for our 50th wedding anniversary with our whole family? Each family had their own cottage, and all were wonderful. Fantastic ocean views, clean and comfortable. We stayed a week and wished we could have stayed longer. All our needs were met. We stayed in the small cottage right on the ocean and could not have been happier! I recommend this whole heartily! You will not go wrong staying in one of this lovely places!
