We got a wonderful, pittoresque cottage with a stunning view over the sea and Sao Jorge. Placed 2-3 minutes drive from the center of the village so it really felt like you where on the countryside. The small house had a nice bedroom, bathroom with good standard, a small kitchen and a small patio. Cosy and cute! Only thing you could add was mosquitonets for the windows/door on the upper floor (where the bedroom is). At night it could get warm, extra so when it is humid as it tends to rain every now and then (typical Azorean style weather).
If you have questions and errands or need free wifi you can go to the service center in the village. The staff is really warm, friendly and helpful.
If you have a car to get around (closest supermercado is in Sao Roque, restaurants and smaller shops closer), this place is definitely a good pick! Must issue a warning though; watch out for a fiesta the village holds in the middle of august. This runs for a couple of nights where loud music is played until 6 or 8 in the morning. Because of this we couldn't sleep for some nights, but the owners compensated us for all the time we where there so they are really decent and well meaning. When there is no fiesta this village is very quiet and tranquil. It also has a nice rocky pool and 5 minutes drive away you have Picos only sand beach - very nice for people who like to take a dip!
