Like the previous reviewer my partner and I chose to stay in one of the larger properties owned by Adegas do Pico,, Casa das Canterais which sleeps 6. The house is perfect, with a beautiful position on a hill above the small beach of Prainha and facing the island of Sao Jorge. The view from the house is absolutely mesmerising. The house itself was spotlessly clean and is really comfortable in a homely way, and had everything we needed for our five night stay. Jose, Silvia and Maria were always extremely kind and helpful, and you could see they run a very professional set-up here on Pico. The price for the house (we paid euro 95 per night) for the position, service and facilities offered is remarkable.

We stayed in Casa do Alto da Ribeira.I start with this because there is a large range of properties but I am sure the standard of upkeep and facilities will be excellent in them all.As a couple we took this house for the space and view and it was wonderful.If you are looking for quiet ,beauty, fresh air access to good walking and good management support all you need do is pick the house .We even viewed the one bedroom house on the water edge while we were there.There is no doubt this is very special but for our 9 days not enough space though apparently you can just watch the dolphins from your window and that was from another guest.Jose Maia runs the sites and he was always very helpful when there but also quick to respond on the website while we were booking the holiday.The shops are near ,there is an excellent restaurant and reliable taxis.It was brilliant.
