Chap from town recommended for us to check it out as the views were meant to be amazing - and it was! River running through greenery was calming and almost hypnotic. The breeze was also lovely on a warm day.

I can only comment about the restaurant as we did not stay in the hotel. Food was average and was a tad too expensive for what it was. I understand that they are remote and probably the reason why they charge the way they do. However, “fresh mango juice” was CLEARLY watered down and costs as much as half a kilo of mangoes from town. We felt this to be a blatant deception and a disgraceful way to charge more money for a substandard product. We had to wait quite a long time for our food but thankfully, the view took our mind off it.

The lady who owns the place was telling her son off in the background whilst we were dining. Unprofessional and unnecessary as it did affect the dining experience.

There are loads of good quality restaurants in town that serve better food for less. Their only saving grace is the magnificent view, which unfortunately isn’t enough to make me want to go back.

For those who are complaining that transport from this place to anywhere is expensive, I would recommend renting a motorbike from town for 500 pesos/day, if you could ride.

Stayed 3 Nights here, and Wished we would have stayed longer, this place is definitely worth coming back to in my opinion.
From the Pickup from the airport on time and very welcome reception from the staff, extraordinary view from the restaurant and to be only two people there at that time of day was something to experience,....the Serenity, the beauty, and the sounds of Nature all around.

Very friendly staff talked us through the various activities and the ordering of food in advance, and I was impressed by the humble but very friendly approach when dealing with all staff there throughout our visit.
The room was tidy and the bed comfortable.
Shower pressure was good and the bathroom was nice and tidy.

We were on the bottom on one of the houses, next time we will book the top floor , but nothing bad to say about the room or negative in anyway.
The sheer remoteness of the place, the deafening silence after having arrived from Manila with its hustle bustle, was heavenly and very welcome to relax with.
We enjoyed Dinner,I decided to try the Ox Tongue with Mashed potatoes and did not regret tasting that delicacy of a dish. You Must try it.

After Dinner we enjoyed the Firefly watching on the River, simply mind blowing in its beauty to see the stars among the trees and then see the Fireflies in almost every tree after a short boat ride. One of the more tranquil Moments I have ever experienced in its simplicity and beauty to watch the fireflies at night.

The Following day we enjoyed a Private Island Hopping Tour to a few private islands....and once again, being the only people on each Island, except for our Boatman and Minder , Who left us to walk around and we enjoyed Lunch on a beachfront with not a single soul around anywhere in Sight, Just the Quiet tranquil Nature of the Philippines all around. Heavenly.

The restaurant is well and efficient in its operation, the breakfast is good and I enjoyed one of the Best pancakes since my grandmother made them when I was a kid....
The Service staff are very attentive, and with a glance in their direction they would offer any service you required.
Very well Done. Very Well Done.

If you want to get away from it all, and not have a lot of people around, The Riverhouse has Seven Rooms if I am remembering Correctly, So you will not have a lot of people at any given time.
We Suffered a couple of power outages, but the Generator kicked in short while later.
Philippines after all , so no complaints at all.
I am very happy we decided to stay here, and I wished I would have stayed longer.
Well, there is always a Next time.
And there will be a next time.

Room tip: Go for the top Floor so you can experience the view better. That is my plan next time he he

Stayed for 6 days, went to northern palawan to dive with the dugongs / wrecks near the area. The staff/owners are very accommodating. They changed our sheets, cleaned our room daily! ( without prompting) Fresh food, great views, awesome people. Two Thumbs up!

From the moment of arrival until the drop off on the airport, the whole experience at the Riverhouse was absolutely great. The owners and staff were always very attentive and accommodate all our needs and requests. It is removed from the centre of Coron and I am very glad because the town centre was very noisy and chaotic. Our room views were fantastic, great shower and water pressure, the food was quite good in general and the hop-islands boat trip was the cherry on top of the cake. Highly recommended. We've traveled around the island and I think this is the best place to stay when in Busuanga.

Room tip: Room 4 has a great view and balcony over the river

I enjoyed the serene environment in The Riverhouse and the amazing view of the river from where the dining area is. There are NO island tours offered here and there is NO pool to enjoy. You don't really need those because if you are one who is looking for a place to relax and de-stress, this is one of your best options in Coron. Note however that this is not near the town where all the action is. Perhaps you can stay in The Riverhouse after taking all the island tours you can while in town. It is a really good way to cap your vacation in Busuanga/Coron!
