had tried the #1 restaurant in Coron 2x!
1st we had to line up in a long queue on a dinner time. Its Valentines Day so its fine but noticed this always occur ever dinner time when we passed by the area 3-4x which will take 30mins to 1 hour just to be seated. So instead, we did a take out and orders were received even before the 'suppose to be line' we should had. We ordered fruitta mare pizza which is a seafood type with shrimp and squid and pasta pesto type. The restaurant serves authentic italian style and the owner is from Naples, Italy. they are famous for fresh ingredients and flavorful pizza but not too much on toppings. 7/10 on pizza - a slice of pizza contains 1 shrimp and 1 squid - not enough flavor for me. 5/10 for pasta not Ok for me. Overall 6/10 for our 1st try.
2nd time there is no queue since we ate at lunch time so we took a table.. it is a homey and good to relax and experience will be better for a romantic candlelight dinner but we only opt to take the 2nd time because my gf wants italian cuisine. Ordered pizza with corn, onion, cheese and requested for additional a truffle cream (+250php/$5) it was so good as I love truffles!! plain and flavorful. Next was arrabatica pasta - tomato pasta with little spicy from garlic and chili and fresh veg.. both made it perfect for that lunch time.. overall 9/10.
Never do takeout. If you prefer a romantic candlelight dinner, you might have to lineup for an hour just to be seated or take lunch instead with no lines, better to savor food but not the full experience.
