It was definitely worth it to climb the 700+ stairs to the top of Mt. Tapyas. Go on a more clear day so you can see a beautiful sunset.

I visited Mt Tapyas as part of the Coron Town Tour, and this was my highlight of the trip.
A steep 273 stairway of steps takes one to a viewing deck with spectacular views of Coron Bay and the sunset.
It was hot and humid, so do take some water with, and a small towel will come in handy too. Well worth the effort.

I didn't appreciate much the town tour in Coron. Spending P650 for the town tour was too expensive (imo). To get to the peak of the mountain, you'll have to take around 1000 steps. Better to do this if you're into fitness. Perfect for your morning exercise.

Great view from the top! Excellent climb in my opinion. Only draw back, some dog poo close to the bottom (start). There are best points where you can sit to get a breather (not necessary if your in decent shape). I always go up at least once every time I visit Coron.

Nice way to get an overview of the town and surrounds. Best to climb early int he morning or later in afternoon/evening when not so hot.
A few places to stop and sit down along the way. Bring a water bottle with you as nowhere to buy drinks along the way. Doesn't take too long and nice breeze at the top.
It's free of charge, so really must do it.
