I was SUPER disappointed with this place.
We paid about $100 AUD per night and it was terrible. I had read the reviews and kind of disregarded them but they are true.
There is no hot water and it took them two days to fix it, we couldn’t get the WiFi to work anywhere. Our room was leaking a foul yellow water out of the floor that we had to keep towels on the whole time and walk through, the floor is uneven and some parts had nails sticking out both my partner and I stood on.
Yes there is a balcony but a third of it is taken up by your air con unit and there is nothing to sit on, not that you would want to sit next to a giant air con unit while it’s running.
We asked for two extra pillows and were charged, which I don’t mind but given the above mentioned state of the room it was crazy.
I told them about the issues, asked for some of my money back. I was thanked for letting them know, yet nothing was fixed. I was told the manager would talk to me in the morning but nothing.
The staff were lovely, all young people and they seemed to be doing their best.
The only good thing about this place is it’s right on the pier but it’s not worth it, it’s not far to walk or tricycle to the pier if need be.
I read the reviews about theft so I kept valuables on me at all times, we lost a hat but we could have misplaced it ourselves.
Oh and the rooms are huge, which helps when you are trying to avoid nails and yellow water coming out of the floor.
Also note there is no restaurant at this hotel. It’s closed for renovations but doesn’t look like much is happening to me.
This place SERIOUSLY needs to re consider their rates and update their website or fix their rooms.
