We found the owners to be very helpful and accommodating. They pointed out how to efficiently use the tumble dryer showers and were on hand throughout the day. The facilities were very clean. The location was ideal for visiting the Butt of Lewis and Port Ness as well as the standing stones of Callanish. We would definitely stay there again

This campsite is a gem and the service of the owners was amazing.
The campsite has a toilet and shower block for men and women. £1 for 8 minutes for the shower which was well worth it after several days of wild camping. Lovely hot shower.
It has a laundry room £3 for the washing machine (34 minute cycle) and £2 for the tumble dryer (30 minutes) which left our clothes nice and toasty.
There is a separate block for eating which had four tables accompanied with chairs - and a 2 hob gas cooker and toaster - as the weather was terrible it was great to seek refuge in this room sat at a table reading a book with a cuppa at hand.
Iain and his lovely wife were very kind to collect us some bread and eggs as we ran out of provisions due to shops being closed on Sunday, followed immediately with a Bank Holiday which was poor planning on our part.
Great campsite - you won't be disappointed.

This site is on top of a hill overlooking the hamlet of Shawbost on the Isle of Lewis. It's small with hardstandings and hook up. It's a family run business and the owners, who live on site, are very friendly and welcoming.

The facilities are good, it was like being in a family bathroom! They were clean and it cost £1 for 8 minutes in the shower.

It was lovely weather when we were there but I imagine it could be a tad windy when it's inclement.

Lovely camp site , very friendly accommodating owners. classic views of Lewis on a classic weather day. Plenty of space, clean facilities, great to have two clean toilet/shower blocks. Also lovely little dining room and basic kitchen, ideal for those wild days . Loved also the tweed blankets freely available to campers for extra warmth. Just great will be back.

Great site, friendly welcome from the owners (family business) who live on site, excellent facilities, hard standing pitches and one of the few sites we found with electric hook up on Lewis/Harris. Having island hopped from Barra to Lewis this surprised us, as the smaller island campsites had this facility. Showers £1 coin and you need ‘old’ coins (available from owners)! Would recommend and great base for exploring Lewis.
