We have just arrived this island of about thousand residents after the 30 minutes bumpy boat ride. The hotel representative met us at the airport and took us to the jetty. After arriving the pier of Huraa, it further takes 5 minutes to arrive the hotel by golf cart, so call shuttle bus service. This in fact also the commuter to and from town.

Interesting is that we are sharing the house reef with ClubMedKani waterville which is just a knot beyond. We shall try snorkelling after settled down. However, it was a disappointment as the current is too strong and there are no fish. We ended up to join a scuba diving trip organised by the affiliated diving shop adjacent. The price is very reasonable for 25 dollars +gst for each with 4 persons or 40+ for 2 persons. The trip was splendid with the operator Lee is so friendly and helpful. We gather at 8 am with hotel shuttle going to the pier and we returned before noon. We snorkel at 2 to 3 locations in looking for Turtles, Dolphin, Stingrays, Sharks and many beautiful tropical fishes. This is for sure worth the while.

The room is spacious enough for Snorkelling trip and the open air toilet bathroom is amazingly designed. Two showers are provided that is most convenient to couples after snorkelling. Wet clothes could be naturally dried with the sun shines in which is better than air-conditioning drying.

We have dinner at the hotel and the food is good except frustrated as only one choice provided for each course from appetizer to desert. Luckily we did not attempt to the half board or full board as most guides recommended. We will go to another restaurant in town with the shuttle service provided by the hotel. We started off with a town tour and then the shuttle drop us off the restaurant. After dinner we were picked up at the restaurant returning to hotel.

This hotel in fact has just one type of rooms offered. They were all beach front. It is only a matter of your preference of ground floor or first floor. We like the balcony floor which can overlook the water passage and the water villas.

For transfer between hotel and airport, you need to check with them in advance for the convenient time for hotel as boat service is not consistently available.

Just so happened that we stay on Sunday and we have the chance to watch a traditionally Bodo Beru big drum music and dance. However, it has been changed a bit somehow to Latin Dance by the performers which is a pity.

After a few holidays spent in Thailand, we decided to change the location and we chose The Maldives. Based on a few opinions from the tourists' forums, we picked up Pearl Sands at Huraa. We were anxious for a while, as we communicated directly with the hotel's site (via Messenger and Booking) and they responded quite slowly, but very politely. We were sure about the reservation only 3 weeks before the holiday. However, any misunderstanding disappeared as soon as we got there.

Huraa is an island, partly populated by locals, at 20-30 minutes away from the airport, by speedboats. Pearl Sands is a beach-front hotel, newly built and very well maintained. Any request from the customers is considered and fulfilled as soon as possible. Mister Finger is a great manager, always in the middle of the employees and the customers. The little problems with the mosquitoes, appeared after the rain, were well taken care of.

As for the services, the cleaning is impeccable, the food is good, a little bit spicy for our taste, and the massage is heaven on earth. The beach is extremely well maintained, our friend from Bangladesh working all day long to enhance the spectacular view, created by the white sand and the crystal clear water. The New Year's Eve dinner brought a variety of food and exciting music. But above all, the peace of this corner of heaven is something that we never found somewhere else. For us it was the right place in the right moment.

We were pleasantly surprised of it, which makes us to strongly recommend Pearl Sands.

Great food, great people, great environment. Snorkeling at right side of the beach before the open sea, will encounter a lot of sea life and nice coral, but be careful while low tide because you might get stuck .Go for full board, you won't regret.

We have received an email from them, informing us our booking is canceled as our room has been damaged by a storm.
No help to find another accomodation, they don't answer our emails neither the phone. We are coming for the year end celebration and can't find any other hotel in our budget and that looks as nice as this one.
They have ruined our holidays.

I would not advise this place if you are looking for noisy parties. We've spent 10 days and never felt bored with beach and sometimes - walking to the village about 300 m from the hotel. Good food, comfortable rooms with balconies and spacious bathroom with two showers and half-opened roof. The manager - Norbert, and all the staff really made our stay a very pleasant one. Beautiful beach on a shallow laguna where one can look at different kinds of reef fish. Good Bali massage.
Be careful about the price: in Booking.com it is shown without 10% service fees and some taxes (about 20%). But the pleasure you get worths every cent of it. The hotel is new, everything is functional. Private beach is just magnificent. One of the best vacations I had in my life.

Room Tip: I would suggest the second floor is more attractive due to better view from the balcony.
