Casa Consuelo must be the farthest resort from the Blue Lagoon highway entrance -- don't freak out if the tricycle has already taken 30 minutes getting there. The owner Chad welcomed us warmly and even gave us a map to Pagudpud. He helped us arrange our tour the next day and was very knowledgeable on the entire area. Service is always prompt and polite, we never had to wait for anything! Every morning we'd wake up to find breakfast ready for us and all the meals we've had in their restaurant are delicious. Dos Hermanos islands is a short walk/swim from their shore, and you could stay at Casa Consuelo for a week without leaving as they already have everything. (Except liquor, since they pride themselves on being a family-friendly establishment.)

Wifi is a little spotty and only available in their restaurant, but I guess that's kind of the point if you came all the way there. Rooms are very clean, although ours (the cheapest) was quite small. The whole place is rustic and right in nature, so don't be surprised to find a praying mantis hanging out in your balcony in the evenings.

Room Tip: Get the nice cabanas if you can, as the cheaper rooms are quite small

Wow what a beautiful place to stay myself and my wife and son went for only two nights and wish we could have stayed for longer
We went in the wet season which meant that there weren't a lot of I guests there at the time and it was raining on and off but because of the wonderful climate and the warm ocean it made no difference
The service was fantastic and the staff could not have been more helpful and always there to do anything you needed
Like one morning we went down to have breakfast and there was obviously a large family gathering in the breakfast area and the staff immediately offered us to have breakfast served on our Veranda of our bungalow
They have a very good of local dishes as well as European dishes for both breakfast and lunch and dinner call
The beach is right at your doorstep only probably from your room I hundred meter walk corporate the only criticism I would have is that once you enter the water there is rocks and coral not far from the beach but you can find areas where you can just paddle or and and cool off but you do have to look for them
And finally the rooms are comfortable clean and the air-conditioners work great and because of been quite secluded there is no noise or typical Philippine motorbikes going pass
We had a great time there recommend you go and see the waterfallsnearby it is an easy half hour walk but really really well worth it

If you want a serene and semi-private place to stay in pagudpud, this is the best choice. It sits at the end of a long stretch of beach resorts. Unlike other resorts in the area, it has its own private beach area. You can also swim at the heated pool which is well-maintained. The view from the resort is very beautiful especially when the weather is sunny. The staff are also very helpful and accommodating. Well worth the money! :)

When we arrived we were greeted by the staff who took our bags. Our group was welcomed and given a brief introduction to the grounds. The weather was a bit windy while we were there and we made the most of it. Our driver who has been to a few hotels in the area said this was by far the nicest hotel in the area.

The food is also very good and reasonably priced. They had customers, who were not staying there, come out just to eat dinner there.

If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind this is the perfect place for you.

Casa Consuelo is a nice and private resort. After a long travel from Manila, their (heated?) swimming pool is heavenly! My only complaint is they do not give discounts to senior citizens, as mandated by law.
