Impossible to reconcile our miserable experience at KVR with other TripAdvisor reviews - perhaps going out of business?

- sliding doors to outside on all rooms (we checked 3) were broken and could not be moved.
- bathroom toilet seat broken & main facility toilet did not flush!
- no wifi
- upstairs public area closed for repairs
- argued to request beach towels
- no in-room refrigerator
- no room service to clean room, provide water during our 2 days there. We had to ask for additional water, toilet paper, towels.
- poorly functioning aircon
- spartan room - beds only: no chairs, lamps, or wall decorations (except for large spider)
- postage stamp pool
- beach is not really sandy - swimming & surfing on rocks.

To be fair, some positives:
- good surfing and instructors were handy
- dinner was served until 8pm, after everything in the local village had closed.

This would be fine and five-star for a surfer hostel, but at Peso 4,750/night (payable cash/bank transfer in advance!) one of my worst hotel experiences ever in terms of accomodation and service.

Casa Consuelo up the beach looked interesting. Otherwise, good luck.

I stayed for 2 nights without reservation. I just want to escape from the metro and decided to stay here since it has good reviews online. I stayed in a non aircon dormitory room. Used the common bathroom to which is fine but definitely needs some cleaning and renovation. There was frog showering with me on my last day. Haha it was fun. It was a very relaxing stay. The staffs are very good when it comes to their service. You'll have a friend with them. Overall it is okay. However, Some of the guests(to which are friends with the owner) was really loud. To the extent of being annoying. Oh well. CLASS and SOPHISTICATION can never be bought. EVEN YOU PUT ON DOZEN OF FILTERS IN SNAPSEED. lol. Hope they read this.

This small vista will forevermore hold a special corner of my heart. The place, the company, perfect!

The staff were accommodating and attentive.

Alma's Margarita is unforgettable!:) almost all the dishes we selected were awesome.

Our loft was great, had back porch that opens to the sound of the ocean.

It's location is perfect for those who want to just sit and lounge around, bonding with friends and family.

A++!

Staff are accomodating and good service.

We booked a standard room and it was nice because there's a mini garden inside the bathroom ;P.

Food is great and my favorite is their bagnet ceviche.
Their herbal tea is very relaxing for a rainy day.

Not what i expected...

Very basic toiletries are not provided at all.
No trash can, no hand soap or shampoo.
Can not Even make my own tea/coffee without paying.
100php for additional towel for the swimming pool!
We need to ask for a blanket, and we got a single one.
Lots of mosquitos and ants..

The food is good but very pricey..

the pool is nice though but very small..

15-20 min walk from the center but after dark there is no lights on the road.

We give it a chance and we stay for 2 days but packed our things go away.
