We booked 3 rooms. I remembered to request that our rooms should be beside one another but I forgot to ask if we are in the ground floor. My bad, because rooms given to us were in 3rd floor. This is not convenient esp. if you have a large luggage with you and no one to help you carry it up and down.

We got good rooms with clean beds, sheets, towels, and toiletries. There’s hot shower and nice working air conditioner. One of the rooms even has a balcony to dry wet clothes.

Breakfast was included in the room package and it was served on time 7am.

We walked around 5 minutes to reach the beach, passing through shops and restaurants along the way. The beach itself is clean, although a few dogs are loitering around. I wonder where they poop?

I had to prepay the rooms ahead of time - full payment. This is acceptable but I cannot believe that they require a cash deposit of Php1,000 / room, total of Php3,000 for 3 rooms.

I have stayed in resorts better/higher standards than Apo Idon, but this is the first time that I am compelled to make a cash deposit! Only because the staffs were pleasant and I don’t think there’s anything to be stolen or broken in the rooms, so I didn’t make a big fuss out of it. But this incident surely dampen my mood.

I have visited Pagudpud many times in the past 10 years and it's still my favourite Philippines destination. Its a long drive to the extreme north of the country but its always been worth it. I have stayed many times in the Apo Idon and this visit it has undergone a significant upgrade and the nightly price reflects these improvements. We paid Pesos 4,200 per night for 4 people in one room. Very reasonable I thought. There is unlimited free Wi-Fi in your room, a nice surprise and works well. The beach is right at the door of the restaurant and very clean yellow sand. We were almost on our own here this visit as it was only 2 weeks before the Christmas holidays so we enjoyed the experience. Credit Cards are now accepted. The staff are friendly and continually cleaning all areas.

We stayed there Dec. 23, 2017.

Place - It is a beachfront resort. The room is big but the bathroom was not well lighted.
Food - It was just ok.
Cost - Ok for 8 persons.
Services - very poor. Needs more improvement.

We stayed in this hotel from Dec.1 till 3, 2017,..a spacious, with living rm & terrace as well, but to stay here long is a horrible, MOSQUITOES at night ( i suffered lots from mosquitoes bites) we had mini fridge at the rm.where i put the rest of my opened chocolate, i open the fridge the next day, i was shocked cause the chocolate was full from BLACK ANTS, bathroom 😣 only with 2 thin towels, 2 sachets of shampoo, 1 small facial soap, no hairdryer, but a ladder inside the bathroom for an unknown reason😂...The hotel staff like a robot, needing to use a remote control in order to move,...

We stayed for 3 days in the hotel.. room is not that nice but great value for money,, Foods served is cold too.. but the beach is very nice and clean.. white sand with big waves.. so relaxing! I suggest that if you ate planning to go to Pagudpud, bring water, foods, toiletries, etc,, cause the restaurants and stores closes early so just in case you get hungry at midnight, you have something to eat..
