when you choose to stay in Elena apartments there is not so much choice for food especially in the night time. Many people prefer to go to harbour and marina in the night time and eat there. But if you stay in pisli ammos this restaurant has really good food ,first try some greek mezzes they are almost same like Turkish mezzes then some hot starters like kalamari then up to your choice try small fish.Prices are very reasonable.

We came here because of the good reviews. We walked up from Votsalakia, was a nice walk. Beautiful spot for a restaurant. The food wasn't that good. I had a souvlaki, which was burnt black on the sides. My partner had shrimps, had nearly no taste at all. There was only plain salad and some onions with the shrimps, no potatoes or fries with it.

Every year the quality of the food is lower and lower! We took the traditional Greek salad, beans salad, fried shrimps, fried little squids and fried small smelts (fish) with onions. The salads and the shrimps were okay. The fried squids was one piece and we have to separate them in order to eat. The small fish we took was less than one cm pieces of something. Furthermore, they charged us extra bottles of water (3,20 euro) which we didn't drink! I would not recommend that place!

Psili Ammos is one of the rare sandy beaches at Samos. There are a few cafes, and Psili Ammos Restaurant, a typical Greek restaurant that has different types of mezzes, daily fresh fish and a variety food like pasta and meatballs etc. Everything they serve is freshly prepared. Even their fried potatoes are genuine home made ones, not frozen market type. We ate 4 times here and tried different types of dishes (sword fish, little fish, grilled octopus, meatballs, spaghetti for the kids) and every one of them were delicious. They also rent sunbeds for 2 euros each and have frappe, beer, ice cream you can enjoy at the beach. The prices of the dishes are almost the same as the ones in vathi. The staff is friendly, service time depends on the crowd. Like most of the restaurants they have wooden chairs, I hate, sorry looks authentic but so uncomfortable. But they have child seats for the kids which is rare at samos restaurants. A big plus for families like us travelling with toddlers.
