The room came with three pages of terms and conditions and rules. The owner was not really friendly. No pool but nice area to sit outside.
On the positive side, the hotel is nicely located near Hardap NP and wifi and breakfast were alright.

We stayed at the Bastion Farmyard twice on our last trip to Namibia.

The first time we used their camping facilities and were very impressed. Your own stunningly set up bathrooms, large shower, braai area and kitchen space as well as a shaded, sheltered spot to camp. Definitely luxurious. And if you want to go exploring for the day you can just lock up and go! There's even a night guard on duty to make sure that all the campers are comfortable and don't need anything through the night.
I was just a slight bit put off by the lack of privacy from the road. There's quite a bit of foot traffic from people who work on neighbouring farms so some hedges or shade cloth near the fence would probably make a big difference. Also, if grass camping was available, I know that it would be amazing! I was very enticed by all the beautiful shaded green grass surrounding the hard brick camping area.

The self catering on our return trip cannot be faulted! Spacious, cool rooms with plenty of storage space and the use of a fridge were very welcomed. The owner clearly has a lot of experience in hospitality. She is welcoming, helpful and kind and has put an incredible amount of time and detail into everything, down to the making up of the beds. Everywhere you look you will see that effort has been put into it. We will definitely be returning!!

Highly recommended!!! This place is just perfect in every way. We were a family of 13 and booked all the rooms a year in advance. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival, it was a Sunday afternoon and Salome received us with real Namibian hospitality. Every room has its own bathroom it was clean and neat with special attention to detail which shows that the owners care and love what they do. Th e6 rooms share a fully equiped kitchen Bastion has the best gift shop in all of Namibia and although it was a Sunday Salome opened it for us. Each campsite had private bathrooms and kitchens perfectly clean and neat. Thank you Salome for making our stay so pleasant!

Room Tip: Room 1 is close to the kitchen and room 2 and 3 share a huge bathroom nice for a family of 4.

Pleasantly surprised around every corner. The attention to detail shows that the owners care and love what they do. Camping with a private patio and bathroom for every campsite. Best craft and gift shop we came across in all of Namibia.
Highly recommended.

We stumbled accross this little gem on our way from Etosha back to South Africa. The rooms are spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom. A real bath, what a treat after 3 weeks of camping. We arrived late and could not utilise the well equipped kitchen available to visitors to its full potential. Rustic, creative and excellent value for money and friendly service. Had a look at the camp sites, ideal for campers
