Real life. This is perfect Caribbean watering hole. Sat here for hours under the trees drinking local beers with many local people. Right at end of beach away from tourists over priced sun shades. They know how to live up this end.

Never judge a book by its cover,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want a beautiful spot on the beach to enjoy lunch or just a few drinks that serves first class local food and free entertainment Maries is the place.(Marie is the entertainment)
Marie and her son Kofi made us feel so welcome, we immediately felt part of the family, The food menu is not extensive however it is fresh and local, this is 5 star food at 2 star prices.
We used the restaurant on 6 occasions and had a wonderful experience each time,
Marie is one of the nicest persons that I have ever met, straight talking and loves a bit of banter.

Maries is a MUST place to visit for lunch or just drinks, you wont be disappointed.
We Will Definitely Be Returning in 2018..

Marie's is a great little spot down the end of the beach. Great for local food (fresh caught fish) and local company. You can often find a boat to take you snorkeling or a water taxi. We are at Marie's every day when we are on the island! We love you, Marie!

You must be willing to walk to the end of the beach to find this gem - so get walking! What fun and delicious meals we had at Marie's. It's like having a home-cooked meal from mom at home, except you're on the beach and mom is serving rum punch that serves you and punch! Marie makes delicious local, fresh fish in an outdoor "kitchen", and on special occasions will serve you what she feeds her family, many of whom work and hang at the restaurant. Very relaxed, laid back attitudes about it all while you sit with your toes in the sand, drink in hand. Don't get too dressed up, the bathroom is au-natural (ocean) and everyone is barefoot and in swim suits.

We were walking to the end of the beach on our first day of our holiday and we noticed a bar at the end of the beach so headed for it...... and it was called maries (my name)so of course we had to have a drink..... well, it turned out to be around 8! Great bar with great people who own, run, manage, work there. I highly recommend this fantastic bar x
