Had takeaway here Tuesday 10th around 4:30, I had fish chips curry sauce, sausage chips curry sauce, £12.70 first of all that’s horrendously priced.. and if what I received was of any quality I would be happy, A lad was frying.. my fish had been under the heat lights for probably over 2 hours it was dry and hard the chips had been cooked twice maybe to try and put some life back into them as they were brown.. the curry sauce was watery, this used to be the place to go into town and now it’s a joke, no wonder the owner is looking to sell serving food like that.. Can I just add I walked past at 8 in the morning and the pies under the heat lamps ready for some poor soul to walk in at god knows what time? Maybe the 2 hour hot hold law doesn’t apply to you? This needs serious sorting out..

Since Wetherspoons has opened the chip shop has gone downhill fast, young fryer seemed more interested on being on his mobile phone than serving customers

Just moved to the area and my wife who had visited before suggested fish and chips. This is a proper old style fish and chip shop with lots of seating and a friendly staff a good menu the fish and chips were excellent well cooked and hot. Tea apparently very good and coffee excellent. Busy for a Thursday lunch time so obviously popular with the locals will certainly be going back.
