We heard about this hotel from our driver after a bad experience at Plantation Bay. Our driver took us onto this resort which is excellent value for money and the staff are very friendly. We were staying at the Montebello which is a sister hotel to this one. The beach is great but when the tide goes out there is pretty much no water but the pools are great. The food included in the daily rate is first class and I had the best meal of our entire holiday here (Sizzling Sisig). We even got to meet the owner of the resort. All in all a wonderful family day out and I will certainly consider staying in the rooms next time we visit Cebu

Dear Richard O,

Thank you for choosing to spend your vacation in Costabella. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us and found excellent value in your stay.

Our topography makes the tide clearly defined in our area. It is fascinating what guests can do when the tide is low. Just identifying the varied sea species on the beach can be fun. We are glad though that you had a great time in our swimming pools.

Our Chef will be happy to hear that you have rated our food, first class. To know that ours was the best meal during your entire holiday is a great compliment.

The owner is happy to have met you and we are all eager for your return. See you soon!

This is a fairly basic but comfortable mini resort. Don't expect a super-luxury experience.
Our room was a third floor walk up with no view and a window air conditioner, but it was clean with good beds.
We saw Japanese and Korean families having a grand time at the cute little pool and beach.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The food at the restaurants was OK, and the local bands that entertained at the dinners were charming. I would advise against ordering anything deep fried. I had some fish and chips that tasted like the oil had not been changed in a long time, and I felt quite ill.

Dear WorldTravelPhotog,

Thank you for finding good value in your stay with us and for appreciating our Team.

We have about 8 room categories offering different views. Some overlook our garden, some overlook our swimming pools and lush coconut trees, others give you a glimpse of the vast ocean and some are fronting the sea. The next time you visit, do let us know your preference upon reservation and we will gladly accommodate it whenever available.

We only use fresh cooking oil on our dishes. Nevertheless, allow us to look into your concern and discuss the matter with our Chef.

It will be nice to have you back

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for 4days... The room is clean and nice plus it is big compared to other places. the amenities in the room is just enough for two people but you can always call the housekeeping if you need anything extra and they gladly and quickly send it to your room.
All the staff from the reception to the restaurants, pool area and the beach are all super helpful and very polite. My mom even joked that " i guess in this place they do not hire people who does not smile" everybody smiles everywhere.. Wow!!! Super nice to see them as they make your day super good.
It is also a must for you try their super relaxing Massage Treatments in LEMA, be sure to make an appointment in advance as they get really busy.
The only negative in this hotel is on weekends they accommodate "company / family gatherings" that really ruin your idea of a "relaxing quiet time" in the beach and pool.
At the time of our stay, there were 3 events on Saturday, a birthday by the area where we have to take the elevator to go to our room ( where we had to pass on our swimming clothes ), there was a "team building" in the beach next to our beach beds and another event by the pool area :-( aside from the loud music system, noise of the people in the event add the event host shouting even on a microphone... It was really upsetting. And this same scenario continued the next day Sunday.
Stay in this hotel to experience their very good hospitality BUT avoid if you can - to stay on weekends as you will just be really annoyed.
In the night it is really peaceful.
Thank you to the good team and hopefully the comments and the suggestions that i have personally given will be looked into.
Congratulations on having very good staff especially at the FrontDesk special mention to "Fam and Johnel " and Zaira in the restaurant.

Dear Marilen L,

Thank you for choosing Costabella. It is a great compliment to hear that we have wowed you with our genuine and caring service. Fham, Johnel and Zaira are among those who continue to do us proud and they are glad to hear about your kind appreciation.

Likewise, our Lema Spa concessionaire is happy to hear your commendation of their services.

Our apologies if our events over the weekend bothered you. Bonding is a Filipino tradition that we cannot say “no” to because it is part of our culture. To a lot of our local market, this is one of those rare occasion that they get to experience Costabella. Nevertheless, your concern is duly noted and will be carefully evaluated.

It was a pleasure to be of service and we all look forward to your return.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with 2 kids (both 7 years old).

The resort is not too huge and very clean. And it is not dificult to find a place in the shade around the two nice swimming pools which perfectly suit the kids. We liked the atmosphere above the bigger resorts on Mactan which can be very noisy and hectic at times.
The beach area has a perfectly built bay for swimming. In the evenings this place is peaceful and romantic.

Rooms and bathrooms are modern, spacious and clean.

The kids also liked the Kiddies Corner, to watch TV, making drawings or reading a book. The staff is very helpful and they can make nice origami projects with the kids.

We all loved the quality of the lunches and dinners with every evening a different live band. The Chef's recommendations on the menu are so great. Buffet breakfast was also good with a wide variety of choices and an efficient egg - station.

Staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. They contributed to a great holiday.

Dear Ronald S,

It is wonderful to hear how much you have enjoyed your family holiday in Costabella.
Thank you for choosing to spend it with us.

We are glad you liked the relaxing ambiance of the Resort and savored the quality of our dishes particularly the Chef’s recommendations. Aileen and Ann of the Kiddie Korner feel good that your children learned something from their origami sessions and had fun.

Thank you for the kind appreciation. It is a compliment to know that we have contributed to your great holiday.

See you back soon!

Rooms are not up to date. If breakfast is not included the price is 600php. Small clean beach, in the afternoon the sea disappears. Expensive price for the two restaurants they have. Any trip/sightseeing at Cebu has an expensive price if you book it with the hotel client desk, better to book it out side of the hotel. Spa has a large number of services but also very expensive.
I will not recommend this hotel if you stay at Cebu

Dear Jorge G,

Thank you for spending your holiday with us though we regret that we fell short on your expectations. A lot of our guests find very good value with their stay here in Costabella. Nevertheless, we respect your opinion.

High tide and low tide are clearly defined in our area because of our topography. One may choose to enjoy the activities that go as the tide changes —a rare experience that one can take advantage of.

Costabella partners only with accredited travel agencies and licensed watersports concessionaire. A lot of those vendors you see outside the walls of the Resort do not have proper permits to operate. We leave our guests the freedom to choose their options.

Should you have a change of heart, a warm welcome always await you in Costabella.
