we came upon this place in the most pleasant way i.e. quite by accident while driving around off the beaten track. i find it difficult to be positive enough about everything. let's run through it point by point.
location; we ate on the terrace perched high up on the valley in beautiful gardens. in the summer heat but nicely covered with a fresh breeze.
service; we were welcomed by a charming young man (to my shame i forgot to ask his name) who was nothing less than examplary ... charming, easy going, relaxed, attentive, multilingual, clearly very well trained and most of all delightfully enthousiastic. all the class with none of the arrogance.
food and wine; both were excellent and very well balanced. again, the waiter was very capable in terms of recommending the right thing. we had the menu ... for the details you'll have to go there yourself but it was beautifully traditional and simultaniously audacious. and the local cheeses were awesome. very awesome. wines, cocktails, digestives, all perfect.
very rare that we are so completely satisfied. friendly, excellent, beautiful.
