This was our 3rd stay at the Southern Palms. Made even more special this time as we got engaged on our balcony the day after we arrived.
We had a garden view room which suited us just fine, we could see the pool and see the sea and hear the waves from our bed, a sound I love, along with the whistling frogs. We love the size of the bed in the room, it’s huge, also the choice of pillows is good.
We had a fridge and kettle on our enormous balcony, which suited us just fine to make a cuppa in the morning and keep snacks and drinks cool.
We attended the managers rum punch party just an hour after the proposal, on our return from dinner, we had a lovely bottle of Prosecco on ice in our room with a congratulations card from the team at Southern Palms.
We ate lunch in the bar a couple of tImes.
We found the happy hour service incredibly slow, so much so that we didn’t bother after a couple of nights. There was one evening, we were completely overlooked with service and people who came in and sat the bar after we had arrived were served immediately.
The location of the hotel is amazing, the beach is beautiful as are the hotel grounds. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance either way out of the hotel, with The Gap also very nearby....This was our 3rd stay at the Southern Palms. The cleaning staff were very friendly, doing a great job with our room, most of the hotel staff were very friendly
Whilst we were there a trip to the races was laid on free of charge by the hotel as the south coast hotels were sponsoring the race day, what a fabulous day out that was.
We hope to return one day soonMore
