This is my second visit at the resort, and again I had a pleasant stay. Room again was pool side, this time room 5 which was close enough to the main building to receive wifi in the room. Last stay was in room 7, which doesn't have wifi signal in the room.

Dinner in restaurant was good , decent selection of dishes at reasonable prices.
The resort seems to be undergoing renovation work, which results in some daytime noise, but an update to standard rooms is well overdue. As they are very dated in appearance.
Again this is a place to stay for 1 or 2 nights when passing through Kalibo,

Room Tip: Rooms closer to main building have in room wifi.

Arrived in Kalibo and took a trike to Agzam resort and Spa, which is a 15 minute journey, the resort is located in a quiet village area outside of the city. From the airport 15 -20 minutes journey fare around 200php for trike.

Having checked in we were shown to a poolside room which was spacious though dated. This was followed by welcome drinks which was a nice touch.
Travelling into Kalibo city can be done by walking to main road 5 minutes away and taking jeepney or trike, trike charges range from 50 - 60php to city centre, though some trike drivers try to ask for much more if you are foreign.
Returning after dark get trike to take you to the resort even if they want to drop you at the petrol station on main road, the road to resort is unlit and totally dark.

The meals and drinks available at the resort are good value and tasty, (you are prohibited to bring in outside food).
The highlight of the resort is the pool which is a wonderful way to cool off on a hot evening. There are numerous spa treatments available for those who want pampering.

The positives are:
Overall this is a pleasant way to spend a stopover in Kalibo without the hustle and bustle of a city centre hotel. Rates are good at around 1800php a night, and the staff and facilities excellent, especially the pool. Food is good and rooms spacious.

Negatives are:
Rooms are dated, and could do with being renovated, but overall this is a minor thing fora quiet and peaceful stay.

Staffs here are attentive and my boyfriend and I are immediately greeted with welcome drinks upon arrival. The fact that the staffs are always out and about maintaining the resort's surroundings, they're within reach and always accommodating to our request.

The room is slightly dated but reassuringly spacious. It comes with kitchenette too but serves no purpose (just a sink and kitchen cabinet). What we love about our room is that it comes with a set of table and chairs outdoor (if you need a quick smoke) as well as the wooden huts (free to use for hotel guests) that face the swimming pool. Most evenings are occupied with swimming classes (around 4pm-6pm) so if you're looking for a peaceful swim, enjoy a splash in the late evenings.

Although they're located less than 10 minutes away from Kalibo airport, the hotel is tucked deep in a local village. A good place for tranquility even though Kalibo is generally a quiet town. Breakfast begins at 6am (if you have to catch an early flight) with two options: Western or Filipino breakfast for 100 pesos per set.
