I stay regularly in the Azot hotel for business trips. It is conveniently situated in the centre of town.
The ladies at the reception desk are all very friendly. However, they do not speak any English, so communication is limited. The rooms are all quite spacious. Some rooms have a separate bedroom, bathroom and living room, so you get a small suite. Be prepared for a hard bed. Bathrooms typically have a bath, some have a shower, plus of course a toilet and washing basin. Towels are not replaced every day. There is a small balcony, but this does not invite to take a chair out there. There is a big TV with Russian channels, plus a noisy fridge.
Breakfast is simple. You can get porridge, and if you want something else, it will be a few slices of white bread, two fried eggs, a cooked sausage, and some marmalade, plus a small beaker of yoghurt. Then there is coffee or tea.
There are some restaurants and a small shopping mall on walking distance.
Overall, hotel Azot offers good value for money, but do not expect a luxury hotel. There are better hotels in Tolyatti, but the prices there will also be significantly higher.More
