Do go - allow plenty of time and wrap up well as it is cold inside. It is much more extensive than you can imagine from the outside and the modest entry lobby. Just when you think that you may be coming to the end of the many exhibits and explanations, you reach the Street and you are transported back to the Guernsey of WWII with some incredible artefacts that have been donated and which help to bring to life the experience of the islanders under occupation.

Great value for money, and I found it very informative and interesting, my favorite part had to be the street section

Only had a long weekend in Guernsey so left visiting this museum until leaving the hotel for our flight home as it is only a stones throw from the Airport and the car drop off.

Well worth an hour or two. Easy to park and the museum contains a wide exhibition of memorabilia relating to the 1940-45 occupation from both the German and Islanders prospective. There is a rather too short video introduction which only shows every 20 minutes and, in fact, a far more interesting one deeper in the museum to see later on. There is a wide range of military equipment of all types ranging from 88mm flake guns to horses gas masks and just about everything else an army needs to run on. Equal space is given to the plight and hardships suffered by the islanders and how they survived. There are also poignant reminders to the sometimes brutal treatment handed out to those who didn't fit or were used as slave labour.

The museum brilliantly shows what could have happened in the rest of the UK if the war had turned out differently and gives future generations a warning of what might have been. There is a small tea shop and an excellent display of ordinary shops. from the period.

When returning to the airport don't forget to spend a couple of minutes viewing the recently erected memorial to the aircrews who died on or close to Guernsey during the conflict from many nations of the free world outside the terminal building.

This has a fantastic record of the unfortunate events in Guernsey. Really interesting and informative. We have been here on several occasions and each time I see or read something different. When in Guernsey this is a must . Please understand what happened here in the war and how the locals suffered. It is interesting for all ages and is the best thing available in Guernsey to educate people on the history of the island

Could have easily spent a whole day looking round this museum. There were some superb exhibits both in terms of artefacts from the war and records in print and photos.
