Review of Basdaku Beach

Basdaku Beach

Don't expect much here. Moalboal is loved for its underwater beauty anyway, not for the pristine white beaches.

A representative by the name of Marilyn Sadagnot of Sandy Land Resort told me to send the down payment through money transfer for the reservation to be confirmed. A day after I sent her the money she said she can't claim it bec she doesn't have ID. I went back to the payment center to make arrangements only to tell me that she already gave the room to another customer. It was such a waste of time and money (for the cab back and forth to ayala) that could have been easily avoided if she just proactively instructed me to indicate 'OK no ID'. It was such a huge inconvenience.

A public beach with lots of people specially on holidays. It can be noisy and crowded. The cottages for rent are poorly built. Don't expect things to be anything at par with international standard, don't expect white powdery sand either.

This place is so disappointing , the beach is ok but you'll find many trash in the sea and on the beach ,the rooms booked are expensive and not that clean and sometimes no water supply , the cottages at the beachfront are nasty . I think they should clean the beach with all the money they are getting ( 5 php for using the road + 50 php for car entrance + 100 php if you bring your own tent + 25 php if you use the public toilet ) . We were really disappointed me and my wife for our 2nd visit to that beach since we thought the place were already booming thinking the money the barangay have collected and the number of people that comes by everyday. But the services and accommodation are getting worse and worse!

The beach is nice. One thing that is a big minus is the beachfront cottage. It is nasty (used pantyliner in the toilet) looks like the room has not been cleaned for a week. Consumable water. If you ran out of water you have to pay Php 300 for them to fill in the tank with water.
