Loved every minute of staying in this resort! Great customer service, beautiful property, delicious food and drinks, and a very busy diving/snorkeling schedule. I dove for the first time while there. They have morning and afternoon dives scheduled and you can go out late at night for a midnight dive as well. They sent us with a private van and private guide to Kawasan Falls and to go swimming with Whale Sharks. Both were incredible experiences. We wouldn't have been able to get as nice of an experience without them!

My daughter and I shared a cottage at the resort and did a fairly intnse program of scuba diving. Facilities are excellent and dive and resort staff friendly, professional and go out of their way toprovide what we needed and wanted. The resort feels like a big family. Staff are all committed long term employees. Comfortable and very good value. Lovely food and drinks.

I am writing this review while enjoying the truly magnificent view of their house reef.
OK, let me start the review:

Pickup:
I arranged via email our pickup at Cebu and everything went smoothly. The 3h ride was an adventure and nothing for the light-hearted ones... ;-)

Arrival and check-in:
Once we step into the resort it was so peaceful and tranquil. The view of the calm sea and the mountains in the background is like heaven on earth.
Checkin went well. We got 2 cottages and they were arranged side-by-side as per my request. We got immediately a briefing for our diving, too. Not everywhere was my dive certification and dive experience being check like here. Very professional!

Rooms:
As mentioned, we got 2 cottages for my family of 4. Size is ok, but very clean and in very good condition even though the resort is more than 12 years old. Concheng, the Resort manager told me that they repaint the entire Resort yearly.

F&B:
No Buffet style of bf/lunch/dinner! Fantastic food choice of asian and western food.
You can even get Cordon Blue. Tons of fresh tropical fruit...their mango smoothie is a must try. My son had 2 glasses daily. :-)

Diving/snorkeling:
Their house-reef is in a very very good condition. Almost no coral bleeching. Turtles and sea snake is almost a guaranteed sighting on all our snorkelings. My wife just returned from her 1.5h snorkeling at the house reef...she saw 2 sea snakes...
One of the highlights of this dive trips was my first "Mandarin-Dive". To see how they mate was a delight. Don't miss the Sardine Dive, too. I unfortunately have to skip the fluro night dive. But i will come back!!!
The dive team at Magic Island managed by Rowena is a fantastic crew. Very professional, experienced and friendly.

Whaleshark diving and snorkeling:
I had initially mixed feelings about this trip. There is a daily whaleshark feeding that you can join. It is a very expensive trip but it is 100% guaranteed sighting. But after the trip i must say it is worth it. To dive and swim next to these giants was just a hell of an experience.

Overall:
In a nutshell, Magic Island Dive Resort is definitely highly recommendable for its great Service, cleanliness, great food and fantastic snorkeling and diving activities.
