I really enjoyed my stay here! There are some good restaurants beside this resort if you dont like their menu. At night time, we stayed at the cliff area and we were able to do some star gazing. It was a memorable stay. The staffs were helpful too! ⛵️😊

Tipolo is in the more quiet and more cozy areas on Moalboal (Actually Pangsama). The popular area is about 10 minutes walking to the North.

The Restaurant is good and the cottages and garden pretty and well maintained. You can snorkel right of the beach into a very nice reef. However the nicer areas are a bit down south. (See attached pictures, Tipolo is just above the Abyss dive resort).

The wifi was quite bad and has 0 signal in the room, but thankfully there is good wifi and food at the restaurant across the street as well

A small setup, with cottages almost on the beach, in a very laid back ambiance. Restaurant is good with plenty of choice, also for non-meat eaters. Recommended is the seafood pizza, very affordable (the owner must be sponsoring part of it :-D ). Staff (and owner) are very friendly and hospitable. The Planet Action tours (canyoneering, mountain biking, etc, same owner) are great, safe and well organised.

Room tip: The 2 villa rooms are very suitable for a family with kids... a lot of privacy and outdoor space, a bit of noise of the street at nights.

We almost stayed there but the arrogant and unwelcoming owner made sure we changed our mind.

The rooms are right on the beach which is nice. It is a bit outdated and not so clean though.

After the friendly staff lady showed us the room we told her we wanted to check out one more hotel.

We walked past the bar and there was the drunk owner sitting. He was very unwelcoming and stated that he wasn't sure we we were welcome if we left to look for another hotel. He also stated that the room would be more expensive if we did not take it right away because he was a 'businessman' This went all down in a very unfriendly and arrogant tone.

I definitely wont recommend this place.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was very clean (and cleaned daily) and had AC all day electricity and comfy beds. The hot water in the shower wasn't 'hot' but it's doesn't really matter as it's so warm. Request a room in the garden, ours was overlooking One Eyed Jacks bar and was noisy at night with music.

The hotel is away from the main strip along Panagsama Beach which was nice as it's didn't feel too touristy but you are only a 5min walk to reach all the restaurants etc.

We also did the canyoning with Planet Action Cebu who own the resort and that was great.

They are pretty friendly but overall it was not a great hotel. The room was very noisy over looking the street and a very loud bar. Go for the Oceanside Rooms. My shower did not work for two days. They eventually fixed it but did not seem in a rush to do so. Highlight are the very nice balconies. Restaurant was OK breakfast was included and overall the restaurant was pretty good value. I wish I had more good things to say about the hotel but it was essentially average. For the money they charged there are certainly better options, even though this town is not big on options. Staff were sometimes very friendly though sometimes I wondered if they were really happy working with guests.
