Our fun packed stay at Blue Orchid Resort was definitely an unforgettable one. Not only did we scuba dive for the first time but we got to swim with turtles which was our ultimate dream. At first it was a little nerve racking but Steve, Emily and Julie were amazing instructors and introduced us gently into the underwater world. The resort itself had a super relaxed vibe and was run by the most friendly and helpful staff. We spent most of our time in the small restaurant and bar area where we met new people and ate the most delicious food. Happy hour definitely didn’t go a miss with the free popcorn either!!! Our room was spacious and simple with beautiful attention to detail, not forgetting the balcony with its awesome ocean view. We will definitely visit Blue Orchid Resort again one day to do some additional dives. Ps. watch out for Esmeralda, she is definitely a character!

Room tip: Double Deluxe with Ocean View

We stayed at this amazing hotel for 2 nights which were full of fun.
The staff is highly experienced and always available for help.
You can book organized day trip to Kawasan falls and Oslob (to swim with the whale shark).
The rooms are well equipped with beautiful view.
The food and drinks are lovely and 24h available.
And above all of this, I can't forget the scuba diving experience which is absolutely a MUST, and if you wish to make it more special just try it with the amazing professional instructor couple - Emily and Mat.

Just back from a week's diving holiday, and it was fantastic.

Mat, Emily, Steven and Michele are all very hands-on in running the show. It felt like a family run resort. In fact, all the staff members are very friendly and willing to do what it takes to make your stay comfortable.

There are great dive sites within 20 minutes boat ride from the resort. 2 dives a day over 5 days covered pretty much all the nice dive sites in the vicinity, from the amazing Sardeen run to the plane wreck. Colorful corals, turtles, a variety of nudibranchs, steep walls and an underwater cave - it's all there. To top it up, we got greeted by Dolphins on one of the dives - icing on the cake.

Usually, people come there for shorter stays, mostly couples. The food is decent (portion size, price, and taste) and happy hours run each day of the week :) It takes close to 30 minutes to reach the nearest town on a uniquely Phillipino tricycle. Expect a bumpy ride.

Would I go there again? Yes.

Room tip: nearly all rooms are sea facing, opt for an airconditioned room preferably, in the newer wing

Hi PankajDev, thank you so much for your excellent review of our resort! We had an excellent time taking you to all of the beautiful dive sites around Moalboal, and are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the diversity of sites in the area. We agree that the sardine run and airplane wreck are must-see locations. And dolphins make the whole experience even more special! It was also great to share stories with you both in the evenings over a happy hour drink or two - we hope to get the chance to do the same again in the future! Kindest regards, The Blue Orchid Team.

If planning to dive in Moalboal then Blue Orchid is the place to stay. The dive centre has excellent Dive Instructors like Matt and Emily. Run under the supervision of Steven and Michèle,our stay was very hospitable. The local staff are extremely friendly and always at your beck and call. The boat captain Jinjin and his colleagues made sure our equipment was always assembled and was brought to and from the boat.
I will highly recommend this resort to anyone learning to dive or just visiting Moalboal and its surroundings.
