Aircon was not working properly. Called the attention of the staff regarding the issue. Nobody could decide because apparently there is nobody in charge of the place. They even had to call their Manila office (which responded after more than an hour of trying to cantact them) just to tell them to replace the aircon with the same kind of unit. An hour after the replacement, the room is still hot inside because the replacement A/C is still not working. The bathroom stinks. Imagine pooping on the floor and peering everywhere then leaving it for three days straight. That's the smell. We tried to contact the owner thru the staff. The staff mentioned that there is a guest room for the owner's guests that we can transfer to, they just have to inform the owner of Sabangan Beach Resort regarding the issue and the reason for the transfer. After another hour of waiting for the staff to decide, the staff told us that the owner does not want us to use the guest room even after explaining to them that the room they provided us is not livable. Imagine driving for more than 4 hours to the place just to experience this sh*t service. After more then 4 hours of terrible service, the owner of the place decided to give us back our deposit 2 days after our stay, which we did not agree to.
Takeaway, yes the beach is nice, but the attitude of the owner, staff, and cleanliness of the amenities sucks big time. I am not exaggerating this. We had a terrible experience and will never come back to this place. Imagine spending 15K for an overnight stay just to experience this kind of service. Totally a waste of time and effort. Got even more pissed when the owner was not willing to transfer us to a livable room, but preferred us to drive at night to go back to Manila. What a shame.
