My wife and I spent 5 days there in absolute luxury. From diving, spa, food, service friendly people, it was all great. The food is delicious, the service is personal, and everyone is so nice.
The rooms are great with their outside showers. Just remember they are just a few meters from the sea. Also, you are at such a beautiful place, why stay in your room but to sleep?
Dive shop and team are top notch!! Even if you are a hard core diver, don’t pass up the chance to grab your snorkel and see the local reef. Just walk in from the beach 5 meters and turn left. It is absolutely amazing.
Shout outs to the entire staff, especially:

Jemarie-Poolbar
Louie-Bar/Food
Jay Ann-Spa
Ed-Wine

Dive Shop team-diving
Everyone else-Everything

Make sure you take a mountain bike trip. Louie is a fantastic rider and an even better guide. My only small critique is the mountain biking is a slight bit expensive.

Great place, great resort. You will love it!!

We spent four nights in this property which is set set in very well maintained and attractive gardens as well as being on a clean sandy and well equipped beach , additionally for 150 pesos about $3 cab ride you are in the centre of town .we found checking and out to be efficiently handled as was baggage delivery. The room was spacious and very clean but very basic for a five star hotel with not very good noise insulation as we were kept awake on two separate occasions due to what we thought might be noisy sprinkler system which was constantly clicking that apart the bed was very comfortable ,linen was bright white as were the towels water pressure in the external shower was excellent toiletries were standard and adequate. We are fortunate to travel the world six months a year staying in some of the best five star hotels and felt certain facilities were lacking such as espresso machine closed wardrobes and most of all inadequate locks on the pvc main door into the room . Externally there are several fabulous pools as well as several restaurants the main restaurant overlooks the beach and is excellent from all aspects .There is a complimentary buffet breakfast which is well presented and constantly being restocked as well as made to order options.Despite our reservations concerning the room we would definitely return the main reason being the staff who are just wonderful there are always standouts who for us were Louis in the bar jun the chef and Claris on reception add to that the fantastic atmosphere and we wouldn’t hesitate to rebook.

Dear Martin! Thank you for sharing your 5 star review with us, we are particularly pleased with your kind words regarding our lovely staff! Also, thank you for your kind words regarding our rooms - there are two room types that do have Espresso machines - the Premium Suites and the Premium Pool Suites. We hope that you will be able to stay in one of those next time. We are deeply sorry for the noise mentioned in the review, and regret to have missed the chance to be informed of the issue and to fix it immediately during your stay. We do get roosters and other animals making noise on the properties adjacent to Atmosphere but the noise you heard sounds like one that we could have amended. Our team is looking into it to prevent it from happening in the future. We look forward to your return.

This is a secluded and superb luxury resort with close access to the harbour/port and Dumaguete's airport. We enjoyed an extremely spacious room with garden shower, large porch and super comfy beds. Great food in the restaurants, nice bars, friendly staff, two infinity pools (+ children's pool on "safe" distance from the other pools. Noise level = zero. Great beach and beautifully designed gardens. Not forgetting their award winning spa centre. Their dive center (5-star PADI) was of absolute top class with very friendly and professional staff. We had some very good dive masters spotting critters for us during our dives. Amazing macro diving in Dauin + Apo Island's reefs. Atmosphere ain't cheap but you get a lot value for your bucks. We would happily return here.

Room tip: All rooms there are of top class.

We are very proud to be a resort that can cater to different needs whether the guests are families, individual travelers, divers or non-divers. And we can't agree more with you on the amazing macro diving along the Dauin coast and colorful coral reefs in Apo island. We very much hope to see you again.

We spent two nights here in a premium suite. Accommodations were nice, food was pretty good, helpful staff, and I’d return for the dive shop.

Room/bathroom: Beautiful, minimalist design and very big. Nespresso machine in room, as well as complimentary fruit and water. All other amenities you’d normally expect. The outdoor bathroom was huge and gorgeous, although somewhat impractical. It was kind of buggy and we didn’t want to waste electricity, so we constantly had to open and close the heavy sliding doors to the room (which was a minor inconvenience). Also mosquitoes, spiders, ants, and geckos came in the bathroom and sometimes the room, so we were shaking out our towels and always on the lookout while in the bathroom. Not a huge deal since it’s a tropical island, but if you’re scared of bugs: beware. Keep your bags zipped up in order to avoid surprises. Bed was very comfortable.

Food: Breakfast was amazing with a la carte and buffet options. The buffet was very well maintained. Lunch at the casual restaurant was okay (we learned to temper our expectations in the Philippines, as service was slow and food was not top notch anywhere we went). There was lots of variety and I liked the grill option where you picked your protein from a case. We liked the fine dining restaurant for dinner and would go back to that. We try to eat healthy and they definitely had great options (including plain yogurt, which can be surprisingly hard to find.)

Facilities: The warrior gym is so cool and has a smoothie bar (with protein powder!), and they have rental bikes and yoga/other classes. We didn’t get to try any of it since we had no time, but played around on the gym a little. They have a bakery and three pools, all of which looked great but again, no time. Spa was absolutely beautiful. We took advantage of the free Indian head massage, which was a nice welcome to the resort.

Beach: Meh. Not much of a beach, although it’s there if you want it. There is a lot of trash that washes up, which is kind of sad to see. It’s also really rocky, but it makes for good photos!

Dive shop: Impressive! Great gear, super professional dive masters and staff, great dive sites. We loved going out on the banca. It was well-equipped for our half day trip to Apo Island and the staff took great care of the divers and snorkelers. This is the main reason I’d return to Atmosphere and recommend it to friends.

I wish we had another day here so we could dive more and relax a bit, but I guess we’ll have to return!

Hi and thank you for your kind and detailed review of Atmosphere. We are very pleased that you liked the room design and the amenities. We are very proud of our outdoor/indoor bathrooms and as much as we realize that it can lead to the occasional bug, we hope that the benefits of bird song during your shower made it all worth it! Also, thank you for your excellent comments regarding the breakfast buffet - yogurt is indeed hard to find! It is a shame you had no time to try our bakery, our Warrior Gym and Juice Bar, but there is always a next time! Regarding the brown sand beach, you are right that it is a bit rocky and due to it being a marine park, we cannot really modify it. As you said, it makes for dramatic photos and once you pass the pebbly area, the snorkeling is amazing. Due to tides, some trash is unfortunately washed up to the beach. Our dive center organizes regular beach cleanups with the staff where guests are welcome to join. We look forward to your return to Atmosphere for more dive excursions!

My husband and I stayed at Atmosphere for one week over New Year's and had the most relaxing and comfortable stay. The resort really caters to every guest's comfort and we had a great time, we really didn't want to leave and surely will return!

We took our Advanced Open Water course and went diving nearly every day, to Apo Island and along the Dauin coast. The dive shop was professionally run by Oli and his team. Our dive instructor Je-An really was one of the highlights of our trip. He was fun, professional, took great care of us in and out of the water. He was super knowledgable about the waters around Atmosphere and showed us a lot of sea creatures. We learned to appreciate macro life because of him. The coral reefs at Apo Island are some of the most lush and unaffected we have been to in the past 5 years we have been diving and we really hope it stays that way.

I am vegetarian and the resort has many vegan and veg options. The food is great and has a decent mix of international and filipino fare. The restaurant and bar staff are also super friendly and attentive, Edward, Paul, Jose are just some of the few we can remember the names of but they were all lovely.

The spa is also super serene, we had a few very relaxing massages there and were so thoroughly relaxed after.

We would definitely recommend Atmosphere for a luxurious diving trip! Though not inexpensive, we felt it was definitely worth it!
