Stayed here for just over a week in March. Vitcalclass is a good hotel, with some fantastic features along with some opportunities to improve.

Positives:
* Very friendly team of staff throughout the hotel complex (bars, restaurant, cleaners, reception, entertainment, pools etc).
* Good food - whilst the selection was modest, it was varied. Especially enjoyed the chef station which allowed you to create dishes and watch it created in front of you. The options changed every night (e.g. noodles / pasta) and provided welcome variation.
* Hotel clean and tidy.
* Good facilities on site. Three outdoor pools (unfortunately, very cold), indoor spa with plenty of options, tennis court etc.
* Rooms pleasantly furnished and very spacious. Includes Bedroom. Lounge. Kitchen. Bathroom. We even had a fantastic balcony, with table and two sunloungers - which gave us sunshine throughout the entire day and provided a little protection to Costa Teguise winds. (Worth nothing that not all balconies appeared as fortunate).
* Decent selection of all inclusive drinks (not exhaustive, but a fair selection, including the ability to order bottles of sparkling wine to drink alongside lunch / dinner).

Negatives:
* Entertainment. In general there was a real lack of activity throughout the day (admittedly, I appreciate we visited out of season). There was a night time show every evening, the quality of which was either OK or poor. Vitalcass do need to invest in updating the bar / stage - including basic stage curtains, soft furnishings and redecorating. This would at least go some way to improving the ambience.
* Queues. At peak times bars regularly feature queues of over six people waiting to order drinks. This is incredibly frustrating - for both the bar tenders and the patrons. Vitalclass should look at their staffing patterns better, or at least cross-train their employees to work across areas at peak times (for example, the Reception is a 10 yard walk from the bar).
* Spa and gym - closing at 2pm on weekends. This is rather strange, and further limits the amount of activity you can do in the hotel).

All in all, I was happy with the hotel and felt it offered good value for money.

Our family [4 kids age 5, 9, 11 and 12] plus us 2 adults visited this hotel for one week (not long enough in our opinion) After a long day of travelling we received a very warm welcome from the manager( mohammad ) and we were taken to our room by one of the friendly girls from reception, we were very satisfied with our 2 bed apartment( with a beautiful view overlooking the swimming pools and the rugged landscape) which also sleeps 6.
We soon began to realize that we were staying in an absolutely fantastic hotel with probably the best staff ever assembled. The food was amazing with different menus every day, choices from italian, mexican, spanish, european and international to suit all needs and with 4 fussy kids, there was always something that the kids ate and enjoyed.Special mention to the chefs, waiters and waitresses who were so attentive and extremely friendly.
The reception staff were amazing and were always on hand to deal with any enquiries,Eva,Sarah and the other girls always had the biggest smiles for us and made us so welcome even when we asked so many questions, they excelled in their duties and must be commended.
The kids club was out of this world and every activity was superbly organised by Mama Wendy and the energetic Zeni, They will treat your kids like royalty and they will have the best time ever and with so many activities, there is no time to get bored as it's all fun fun fun. ( So the parents can relax and spend some time by the pool, beach or walks into town ). These two ladies made our kids holiday ( Massive Thanks Girls )

The rooms were excellent, very spacious and cleaned 6 days of the week. The hotel has 5 pools (2 kids )4 outdoor and 1 indoor with gym, sauna, jacuzzi and health spa.

Miguel in the bar will serve your every need and as the days go on he will know your drink before you do ;)

If you want the best holiday for your kids and yourselves, My advice is to book this hotel right now, You won't regret it, we are only home from a weeks holiday and already looking to book for next year, We are definitely coming back..
We have stayed in hotels all over the world and the Vitalclass Lanzarote is without doubt the BEST hotel that we ever stayed in, So So Friendly, Helpful and Accommodating.
See You Soon Vitalclass ; )
P.s Many thanks to all the staff and i know that i have forgotten names from reception and the restaurant ( especially the pool bar ) apologies but ill see you all real soon.

Having spoken with the Jet2 rep on the phone outlining our requirements, we were told this was an excellent 4 star level accommodation, I can assure you this is anything but 4*. I cannot criticise Jet2 for the service from check in to arrival, which was excellent, the flight and crew were superb.
Upon arrival we were greeted well, friendly staff at check in and professional, however when we got to our room it was very disappointing, we were travelling with another family who changed rooms 3 times as they were awful.
Our bathroom smelt of stale Urine and sewers, the room was extremely basic and not exactly clean. The beds were uncomfortable and it lacked any comfort. It was at best 2*.
We have two children aged 7 and 9 so wanted a hotel that offered something in the way of activities or play equipment, all that was on offer was a toddlers water play area, the main pools are not heated which meant they would only play in them for a short time, the indoor heated pool was limited to a set daily time so in occasion this was to rigid to get there, aside from this their was nothing else for them to do as once they experienced one day at the kids club it became repetitive. The food and restaurant was acceptable, each day a different theme food was offered so variety was good, however eating in the same place for breakfast, lunch and dinner over 10 nights became a little boring. The staff were excellent and very helpful though.
The drink selection was somewhat limited and not that great, usually cocktails, smoothies etc are included but you had to pay for this, as did you for replacing towels by the pool!!
The entertainment was extremely poor, 2 out of the 7 acts we saw were ok, but again, there was no real atmosphere and had it not been the case we felt tied to the hotel due to what we’d paid, we’d have gone out. As a family we have been on a few all inclusive in the past few years and always stayed in 4* minimum and always felt we had real value for money but this ended up costing me a further £400 that I spent outside just to break up the monotony and boredom of what the hotel could offer, which isn’t quite the point of an all inclusive holiday.
The hotel would be a good base for people training or using it to cycle where they can have a basic meal, sleep and train, without any need for entertainment or relaxing by a pool.
Overall, very disappointing as this hotel is hugely over rated by at least 2 stars so be very careful when you book as you will be disappointed if you expect 4*.

I wouldn’t class the hotel as a 4 star but it is clean and the staff are polite and attentive.
The food is very good with a good choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel wasnt busy so there was plenty of sun beds.
There is evening entertainment every night. Not my cup of tea but the kids love it.

I was here as a base to help sort out some property business that I had to carry out as well as getting some warm weather training in as I have the Ironman here in May.

In a nutshell the rooms at the Vitalclass are large with a kitchen and a bathroom, but they (As in the Hotel) have some odd practices.

The cleanliness perhaps needs to be examined. The bedside phone had a thick layer of dust on it, the coffee pot was caked in dust on the inside and we had to scrub it out, just as an example. Generally, the rooms looked a little tired and needed some TLC I think.

The bed was comfy.

The staff to be fair were lovely.

The breakfast was ok, but they had a lot of tinned fruit as opposed to fresh, I had dinner in the restaurant for one night and on reflection I think I would rather have gone out.
The other thing about being a lone traveller and eating at a buffet, is that unless you put a coat or something your table at dinner, as soon as you get up to fetch something from the buffet, the nice and enthusiastic stuff will come along and completely clear the table and start to reset it for someone else. This is especially annoying while you are eating for something fresh to be cooked

The gym, as with everything, needs a bit of work on it, some of the machines are creaky and in need of updating.
The pool was lovely, but the fact that you have to pay to use it even as a guest, grated on me a bit. Ok, it’s only 1 and a half euros, but it was still a little bit annoying.

This is where the odd practices come in.

The Gym closes at 2 pm at the weekend, I wandered down at 5 expecting it to be open and that’s when I discovered it was closed. (There was a sign up but, probably as with most people you don’t tend to take notice until faced with the situation). This messed up my training plans for the day sadly, and I bear some responsibility for not taking notice of the sign to start with, however, what gym closes half way through the day on a weekend?

Back in the room, the towels are small, and there is no option to change daily if you needed to.

The pool towels will only be changed if you pay (Only 50 cents, but still it is the principle of it)
You can’t get a drink at the pool and pay cash, it will only be added to your room.

The grounds themselves are well looked after, although they didn’t appear to have any part of that area that would shelter you from the wind.

On the whole I would give this 3 out of 5, it certainly did the job, but I’m glad I was there for sorting house stuff out, I would certainly have been disappointed if I had been there for a holiday.
