Via habal-habal ride, you'll reach one of the accessible falls in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte. It's clear waters is very enticing to get a quick dip. You may also walk a trail up to get close to the main attraction, no diving as it is very rocky and elevated.
Below expectation for sure. -.- thanks to the HD pics you see on the internet. haha
Debris.. debris everywhere.. lol
at the moment Hanging bridge, zipline, and cable car are the only once available. awe. T.T I know right. -.-
ps: naay gapanglaba dapit sa entrance ;'D HAHA
I visited Mimbalot around theee years ago. The waterfalls was a place where locals wash their clothes which was not good for the environment.
Now they developed this into another attraction. They built pools and cottages. I'm not sure if it is better now but at least the place was cleaner and profitable than before.
They just need to be strict on the trash.
Mimbalot Falls is one of the nice places here in Iligan. You can hang out and chill on the foot of the waterfalls itself. Bring your friends and families for a sure fun experience. The place is perfect for beating summer heat. You can feel the water rumbling as it hits big rocks down to the river. Its mist will make you stay and enjoy the cold breeze of air. Its a nature trip that will distress you from urban hustle and bustle of iligan.
My first personal experience of a falls in my life and it was amazing! The falls is rocky. We only took pictures of the falls but there is a resort located at the falls and their is an entrance fee of P50.00 if you want to use their amenities. There are picnic tables, swimming pool, climbing wall, zip line, etc.
If you'll only take pictures with the falls, there is a passage at the left when you arrive at the falls and you can hike it to reach the falls, you don't need to pay for the resort's entrance fee. I highly recommend visiting this falls! I'll revisit the place. :)
Mimbalot Falls is accessible to cars but the road is not yet cemented. To go to the falls without a car, ride a jeep bound for Buru-un from Iligan City and ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection to Mimbalot Falls (Fare: P12.00). From there you could hike your way to Mimbalot Falls or hire a sikad (tricycle transportation powered by a bicycle). Or you could hire motorcycle tour guides looking for passengers at the entrance to Maria Cristina Falls for P25.00/person.
this falls is the nearest next to maria christina falls, accessible by private or public vehicle
entrance is around 50PHP
