Had a great time diving with these guys. Super professional set-up and updated on all ends - best we have seen in all of South-East Asia. Gear all placed in crates with your name tagged on it, kits loaded onto the boat for you the morning of your dive and very informative/interactive briefings. Dive instructors Jordi and Mariela did an awesome job taking us to see the Thresher Sharks. Had 2 extra dives with Jordi - he spots everything underwater!! So cool. Have to mention that every dive shop on the island is super great about the conservation of sharks, and a sum of the money for the dives goes to shark protection programs. Keep up the good work, guys!

Friendly and professional staff.
Nice and enjoyable atmosphere with guides and divers from many nations.
My three kids (12,14,18) all completed the Open Water Certificate.
Thanks to instructors Jordi & Rik. You`re great.
My kids enjoyed the coure and learned a lot.
There was a great deal of practical in-water training and excercises.
As for myself, I had a few dives that I enjoyed a lot.

Super professional, got nitrox certified here, saw sharks, friendly dive masters and boat crew. They carry all your weights, and take off your fins bc they say "you are on holiday and shouldn't do any work" Ask Mike the divemaster about the hairy whale shark!

Thank frebay

We went to Malapascua early August 2017. We stayed at Hippocampus which was ideal location as Devocean divers are right next to the accommodation.

The staff was super friendly and helpful from the start and did not sell diving to us, but rather gave us all the options. We finished our PADI open water about a month before so was ideal trying a new dive site and all we have learned.

We did 3 dives while there - 2 at Gato island with divemaster Pawex and 1 Thresher shark adventure dive with Instructor Jordi. Both were fantastic and made us feel very comfortable underwater. We also got to know some of the other instructors, manager and dive masters a bit and all had a great attitude. Were happy to dive with any of the staff working there.

I take my hat off to instructors and dive masters who are always so friendly and excited, even though they dive sometimes 3/4 times a day. It amazing how positive they all are and just always want the best for the guests diving there. And ofcourse the great attitude they have towards the ocean and protecting it.

1. Location on Malapascua - right in centre for diving
2. 5 star PADI dive centre - can see why they have such a great rating based on service received
3. Super friendly and helpful staff - manager, instructors, dive masters. All well informed.
4. Setup on boat with diving - so organised with everyone's gear in a box with your name on it. lunch and drinks optional included for a double dive
5. Thresher shark diving possibility - not guaranteed to see one, but we were lucky to see these lovely ones in their cleaning station habitat. Surreal.
6. All staff and dive centre focus on protecting sharks and reefs, which is necessary

I must note that these are not negatives for dive centre, but more relating to area.

1. Unfortunately there are plastic and junk in the water surrounding the island. This is visible when snorkeling/swimming. It was also a reality check as I could see all the concerns with corals and ocean and that it is real. It is not this specific island but throughout the world visible.
2. Coral bleaching sometimes visible, but again something that can be seen throughout. Totally understandable if you feel the heat. Watch Chasing Corals to understand what is going on here and everywhere else with corals

Seeing these negatives mentioned above just made us more focused in contributing and helping where we can to make the ocean a better place. The ocean takes up more space than earth itself therefore we are actually all in their territory and should protect it.

Thank you for the great time Devocean! We love the name too! Keep up the attitude and good vibe there.

They have a lot of fun dives scheduled daily. Gear was included in the price, and all the gear was in excellent shape. The guides were great at pointing out marine life, doing briefings, and helping fill out dive logs. Everyone at the shop was attentive and helpful while also being super chill. The Gato Island trip was great!
