Upon booking I am struggling to understand if we have friends arriving as well and requested to be side by side on 2 x grassed sites, why we can’t get told that it has been granted instead of stating that they can only put it in as a preference. People / families go on these camping trips to be together and share communal kitchen areas as such for one, and just be together due to lots of reasons. It’s the whole part of going camping !!!! It’s only 2 families. Not knowing until the actual day when you check in is pretty ridiculous. I have worked with various booking systems and it’s obviously a policy internally made by management not to let people know. I understand you can’t give a site number but at least agree to confirm that requesting a site side by side with your friends when it’s been booked should not be that hard. I Also understand that you need to optimise to ensure all the gaps are filled. The toilets this current trip seemed to be continually getting blocked. Having to see this when entering a toilet was not pleasant. People either need to use less paper or buy a more bio degradable toilet paper. Maybe have additional spot checks on holiday season.
