We popped in without a booking for Sunday lunch as we were in the area and looking for a comfortable respite from the cold showery weather. So pleased we did. Lovely, friendly staff found us a table in the unusual round dining room straightway while we had a quick beer in the bar. I shan't go into detail of each course, but it was all fabulous. The way the roast potatoes and enormous crispy Yorkshire puddings are served is fun, you'll have to go yourself to find out ! Possibly our best Sunday lunch ever, thank you to all the staff ! We will go again, shame we don't live nearer !

Thank Anne G

We visited The Devonshire Arms on Sunday for Sunday lunch with some friends who hadn't eaten here before but because of us raving about the amazing lunch booked it after a muddy walk with our dog round Chatsworth.
The service was excellent from all of the staff, but most importantly the Sunday lunch was yet again one of the best I've had in a long time, all the food was delicious and the apple and raspbery crumble to finish was so yummy. We will certainly be back again soon :-)

We stayed overnight for a visit to Chatsworth the following day. Very busy with it being a bank holiday and parking was not easy but the staff are non stop all the time to help you. The cosy double was very cosy (small) but fine for one night. Clean and compact. Nice bathroom with power shower. We booked dinner at the restaurant. Staff again non stop and very attentive. Slept well. Little noisy when other rooms get up with doors banging. Breakfast was lovely and all cooked fresh.

Loved the Devinshire Arms last night. Great staff, excellent food, fabulous room with four poster bed (NO 6) and very good breakfast.Great place to commence mini pre Easter break and relax . I only have one negative .... The size of the bath towels . They were disappointingly small to get warm and dry after a hot shower . Hope to be back another time though

This is a nice pub, well appointed with a comfortable, cosy bar and friendly staff. We popped in for a couple of drinks on a Saturday afternoon and followed up with an evening meal later the same day. The service was very good and we were well looked after. The only problem is that the food was slightly disappointing, some meals/courses were ok - others not so. There were seven of us eating and whilst the results were a bit mixed, I think we would go back.
