I wasn’t aware that Aphrodite did a Sunday lunch so when I found out I just had to visit as it can always be relied upon to serve excellent food. I wasn’t disappointed. I went with my daughter and two grandchildren who were delighted when they found they could have pasta instead of a roast dinner. We started by sharing potato skins and then my daughter and I tucked into the most delicious lunch. The beef and lamb were both succulent, the vegetables were cooked to perfection, the roast potatoes and mash were superb and the Yorkshire pudding was huge and tasty. The girls enjoyed their pasta and took home what they couldn’t eat. Puds of home made ice cream all round to finish off with, only difference was that I had the one with the black currants and ouzo. Mmmm. This was all served by friendly, efficient staff in a very relaxed, atmospheric restaurant.
