Very nice staff and a fantastic terrace where breakfast is served. Walking distance to everything. For it's price (compared to others in the area), Hotel Trinacria gives you lots of value for your money.

Good location, 5 min till the sea. Private beach area included. Good air conditioning. Breakfast ok, with view from the roof. Clean inside hotel, possible private car parking underground.
Obviously, nothing bad to say, and also for a good price.

Four blocks back from the beach on a quiet residential side road is the friendly and comfortable Trinacria Hotel, where we arrived after a couple of days spent in a smart resort further along the north coast at Cefalu.

On arrival on the street outside the fromt entrance, we were guided into our space in the adjacent parking garage and shown to our rooms by one of the cleaning staff, as the management were engaged elsewhere. Such is the casual, family style atmosphere of the hotel - which is nonetheless spotlessly clean and well-appointed in an understated way. Very much a seaside B&B feel, but with Sicilian charm and hospitality.

The rooms are a reasonable size and have adequate bathrooms and a small balcony overlooking the street (handy for airing beach towels). Breakfast is sufficient if not spectacular, served on a semi-enclosed terrace with a view over nearby houses. Given the handy location of the Trinacria - and the fact that it represents very good value - it would make a decent base for a few days' beach holiday, with the option of side trips to Trapani and the west of the island and the spectacular Greek remains at Segesta.

One last thing - when the management turned up they gave us directions to the hotel's own little private enclave on the main beach, with use of sunbeds and umbrellas free of charge. Again, nothing fancy, but relaxed and friendly. If I am ever in San Vito again I would not look anywhere else for accommodation.

All our requests were met with helpful smiling faces. Close enough to the beach (4 blocks) 4 minutes walk with a 3 year old. Very clean and quiet (if you don't have a screaming baby next door). Big brekfast, wide choice including local pastries for those with a sweet tooth. You should also try dinner here, changes each evening. Fish is dominant. We haven't yet completed our stay and this evening we try the jacuzzi. Car parking can be an issue in the town due to high hourly charges, we negoiated free-parking in the hotel garage. They have limited spaces and you have to reverse down a steep ramp to get it in there. San Vito lo Capo is a quite place at this time of year at least, not much traffic and a huge beach. However the town provides no public toliets, there is plenty of rubbish everywhere outside of the town. It's a windy place so be prepared for on on shore cold wind in the afternnon. The hotel has a beach service which includes sun beds and an umbrella. We found ourselves right at the edge of the sea which was great for our little one. I suspect in the higher season one may find it difficult to get that spot. We were surprised how busy the beach is and it is being continually spoiled by the traders passing by, shouting and pestering us every 5 miutes. Not possible to relax and sleep.

Room Tip: Even on the street side it was quiet

We stayed four nights in this small but charming hotel, which is situated close to the beautiful sandy beach, where you have sun-beds and umbrellas reserved. The centre with its bars and restaurants was a short walk away. Fabio the manager and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The food was excellent and not expensive. Fabio obviously loves Sicilian wines and helped us choose some excellent value bottles. We very much hope to return.
