Much needed vacay for me and the fiancée. The villa by the pool is wonderful - easy access to the pool and resto, plus you’ll hear the waves crashing which I consider such a treat.
Food is super expensive though.
Would be better if stricter when it comes to admitting kids in, especially that people litter around the resort with no masks on. More

Taking safety measures
There was a total of 10 adults that came as a group to celebrate the 2nd wedding anniversary of the hosts. We booked the Rest House where 6 adults shared it and the other 4 had adjacent double rooms. We used the Rest House as our Hangout place as it had the facilities of a kitchen, dining table, a swimming pool right outside on the terrace (shared with the other Rest House adjacent). The Rest House looked quite impressive for this kind of a hotel; it's laid out perfectly for a nice weekend getaway with the family. Unfortunately, the condition of the 2 standard rooms were way below standard in terms of hygiene and cleanliness, quality of sheets and with no appropriate blanket. I guess since I had communicated with the hotel staff before we arrived to arrange for the bonfire and the beach dinner, the staff kindda knew of the high standards we expected. Although I needed to be on top of the arrangements that the staff were doing as their standards were a bit of a hit and miss. The response we received from the staff was always genuinely nice and helpful. And because of this, the host had tipped them extra. ❤ Loved the In Room Dining service they provided; the variety was quite good as well, specially choices of the Filipino breakfast. We ordered our breakfast and had it all delivered to the Rest House. And as people had different time schedules to wake up and have breakfast, the service staff was in and out all morning (partly because they have forgotten something). ✨ The arrangements they did for the bonfire on our arrival night and the dinner on the beach the next night were quite nice. They were even able to fulfill a request from the host to hire some sort of entertainment for the beach dinner. ♂️Although the supervisors were ready to help when asked to do something. Unfortunately, there was no WOW that came naturally from them. Given that business during the pandemic must be not as good, they should have done everything they can to WOW their guests so that word of mouth would be 5✨rather than the average rating they are receiving. If I were the General Manager of this resort, I would make sure I met all the guests to wish them an enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, he hid himself and the quality of standards are below what is expected for the price paid.

Good thing that we were just booked for an overnight stay in this resort. We paid fo 6,900.00 for an overnight stay on a weekend. With this rate, I was expecting a good customer service , a clean nice pool, more private resto with no vendors selling paintings in the veranda
The blankets are not even the one used for that kind of rate - pillows and blanket are below standard. They are using white lights in the room.
Requested for additional pillow after 40 min no pillows yet , followed it up gladly arrived after additional 20min more wooooow. Requested for blanket because it’s not comforter nor thick blankets but it’s a flat sheet. I got it timely this time but looks like just got out fresh from the dryer because it was so wrinkled .
Had room service for a meal , wasn’t able to follow up because I fell asleep waiting - no room service happened nor delivery of my order. No call , knock , etc. to wake me up because I am easily awaken with a call, knock or bell .
We requested for a massage but al in house therapists were fully booked so we asked if we can request for a therapist nearby, yes we can but we have to pay for 800.00 corkage for each therapist. Whoops
So overrated for that kind of price . No next time here and not highly recommended. We weren’t able to relax - noise from the bar/ resto and guests coming in can be heard in your room.
We checked out the next day - able to settle everything already. But wait another PS: booboos , an attendant following us in the parking area asking about the payment for my order that it didn’t arrive , whaaa the hell . You are so keen in collecting the payment but did you even Have a receipt with my signature that I got the order. So embarrassing on their part OMG
Don’t be deceived on the photos - that pool is so cloudy.
It was such a great experience not just the ocean, the room and the pool but the hospitality of the employees.
They are literally a call away from our ocean view suite.
Kahuna Beach Resort and Spa is amazingly beautiful from the room to the view and the staff.

Una pa lang i-assist na kayo with complimentary drinks. Then the room ang kinuha namin is yung delux infront of the pool and the beach so relaxing and peaceful lalo na sa cr din. And less hassle kase may restau na and bar na near lang sa mga rooms pwede din sa room iserve. Sa beach may mga available na din na surf instructors. So happy to stay here kahit nawalan kami ng eye glasses dahil sa waves hahahaha. Lesson learned wag magswim ng nakashades, eye glasses or earings kase minsan malakas yung current and waves hehe. And the staffs are all friendly and iassist ka. And the food sa restau is okay naman and may free breakfast sila. Thank you kahuna. Babalik ulit kami. ❤
Friends and I always go here 3-5 times a year. We always booked the Ocean villa which gives you the best spot in Urbiztondo La Union.
Rooms are clean and the conditioning is super cold.
Location itself is excellent in terms of roaming around Urbiztondo.
Management is great in terms of managing our needs and expectations
Will surely comeback here again many times if we want quick weekend getaway.
