A great spot to stop for a break and something to eat and drink. The mussels are of course the signature dish cooked in all sorts of ways. There are also other choices, for those who are not keen on mussels. The setting is lovely, with lots of outside seating. The food was served quickly and was really good.

We took our relatives from Australia, we stopped by at Mussel Kitchen. We ordered a white wine and Thai green mussel pot, together with 2 mixed platter of grilled mussels. We ordered 2 fish and chips as well. The mussel pots were absolutely delicious, full of flavour with a generous amount of juicy mussels. The grilled mussels were a delight enough to share each flavour with 4 people. The fish and chips were fresh and the chips were golden crunchy and moist inside. The dish came with a healthy serving of salad with yum sauce!
We did order their chowder as well. they chowder had lots of mussels and vegetable in it , served with toasted bread. The chowder was okay and would be great to have more mussel flavour and with a thicker broth.
It is great to have other food on the menu to cater to a variety of diners.
The beer they have on tap is one of the best! good to have a cold one on a hot day.
The atmosphere is relaxing with dining area inside and outside. Room for the kids to run around. The restaurant grounds are neat and tidy and is easy to find, just off the main highway with lots of signage. Lots of car parking area.
We are looking forward to returning here again later in the year.

The best mussels in the world hands down. The manager was very informative about the business not just the kitchen but growing and harvesting the mussels

We stopped here for lunch and had a pot of mussels in white wine sauce. The mussels were huge and so very tasty, coming with a nice small loaf to soak up the sauce.

Highly recommended.

Yummy food, nice expansive outdoor area.
Busy popular cafe, definitely worth the wait for our meals. YUM!
