“My kind of venue, characterful, friendly staff, good cake.”

Sharpham Pantry Restaurant
Description: NEW TEAM FOR AUTUMN 2017: Our Sharpham Pantry Restaurant has a delicious seasonal menu, based around the finest local ingredients the South West has to offer. We use the spelt harvested at our organic farm, Sharpham Park, as a basis for many of our dishes due to its health benefits, versatility and delicious taste! Our menu changes regularly as we like to work with what's in season: our Summer spelt salads are full of greens and fresh tomatoes, while in Winter we'll treat you to hearty pumpkin risotto.

Id been wanting to visit Kilver Court and wasnt disappointed. Lovely and interesting variety of outlets, love the farm shop particularly. We had coffee and cake here. Love the "slice" of train at the end of the restaurant and remnants of its former life as a mill house generally.
Would definitely return.

Good: set in a nice old industrial building, decorated with faux industrial detail, and using mismatched domestic cups and plated for a domestic feel. The designer has talent. Also the wait staff were polite.

Poor: uncomfortable chairs; unsteady table; no salt and pepper - or sauce until we asked. We ordered 2 teas, full English breakfast and scrambled eggs. The small piece of toast with the scrambled eggs had no butter; several elements of of the full English was overcooked and its small piece of toast was dry, brittle and tasteless - if you're making a feature of your "spelt bread", why would you allow something like that out of the kitchen?

Unacceptable: The tables were about 50% occupied, so not very busy, but the system was a shambles - lots of staff, friendly enough, but working very ineffectively. Food was ugly and dumped on the plate with no garnish.Tea is simplicity itself to brew, but ours took 15 minutes to arrive; our breakfasts took 35 minutes. We several times saw food taken to the wrong table, and when we went to pay, the manager was the only one who could find our order or operate the till.

Excellent cafe within Kilver Court! Overlooks gardens, good range of drinks and healthy foods! Really food flapjack too! Worth a visit!

Really enjoyed the lunch as it was very tasty but expensive for what you got. Every element was good though. Staff attentive and interesting venue. Would I go again yes but only if I’m visiting Kilver Court for another reason.

Very disappointing lunch, overpriced and under delivered. Spelt flat bread with no fresh tomatoes or basil. A meal priced at £10 which would cost £1.25 to make at home. No side salad. Very basic. Lovely waiter though. Incredibly disappointing.
