Booked solo trip and wasn't sure what to expect. Nuno and team,Jans,Christina,Gee,Isabel were amazing instructors! Teresa and Poalo were so welcoming on arrival.Made so many news friends. Hostel is super clean and best location in heart of town only 5 minutes walk to beach. Definitely the cheapest European city ive ever been to.
I certainly will return!
I booked a last minute trip to Ericeira and stayed at ESC.
The website for this surf camp attracted me and I was not disappointed. Contact via email and WhatsApp with Nuno, the owner was quick and professional. I was picked up from the airport and enjoyed a 35minute drive back to the camp with thier driver Paulo. We got back just in time for sunset which was perfect.
On arrival I was greeted and checked in by lovely Isabel, was given my keys and a tour of the hostel.
It is such a cosy relaxed clean and quiet place to stay, all guests were cool to hang out and surf with. The staff are very friendly and happy to help with anything.
I stayed in a single room as I was travelling solo, but double, twin and mixed dorms are also available.
Perfectly situated in an amazing part of town and within walking distance to the beaches.
Surf lessons also include free transport to other beaches.
I love this place, would recommend to anyone and I look forward to my return in October.
I went for the second year in a row to ericeira to surf. I had great intermediate lessons in a small group with Nunu, which is a patient, calm and motivating teacher.. really enjoyed the tailored lessons. Moreover, they had really nice and new material (wetsuits and boards), not the old crap you sometimes get at surfschools.
I have had several single intermediate classes with ESC and they have always been great. All the there teachers I have met have given me new things and tips in this magnificient and challenging sport. I have also brought two my first-timer friends who have enjoyed beginner lesson.

I spent a week in the hostel including surf lessons and it was great! All the instructors are enthusiastic and make sure you really get better at surfing. The hostel rooms are clean and spacious and the cleaning lady is really nice even though she doesn't speak any english.They even gave me an upgrade free of charge to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast is good and the hostel is located in the middle of the town.
Nuno (the owner) has been very kind and patient for all my questions before I came in Ericeira! And I has been pretty good received by Isabel!
The camp is in the center and near to all good spots! (Best restaurants, bars, beaches, shops etc)
Regarding the lessons, all coachs are very pedagogical with different methods. A special thanks go to my coach Diogo, I had a lot of fun and made a lot of progress, that’s insane!
Ps: high quality of wetsuits (it is very rare)
