“ANOTHER CHURCH”
Review of Kilianskapelle

Kilianskapelle
Reviewed 11 August 2013

It's right by St. Jacobs, so it is worth sticking your head in the door. Has some history to it, but it is very sparse.

This late Gothic Sint Kilian Chapel, dating back to 1472 and situated opposite the collegiate church, is considered as one of the most beautiful gothic double chapels in Germany. Around the floor a passage with tracery balustrade, a weapon fries, as well as the "Wertheimer monkeys" as a symbol of vanity. Originally built as a chapel for the canons, 1604 Latin school, 1903 as reconstructed Chapel.
