I have just returned from my amazing holiday and stay in this hotel! I was incredibly shocked by the other reviews that have recently been left!! I had the best holiday here in Sorrento, as a young solo female traveller I felt 100% safe and relaxed in the hotel.
The check in was very quick but informative and I immediately felt at home, I stayed in room 86 which I was blown away by! The room had not 1 but 2!!! balconies, wasn't quite a sea view but a beautiful view on the mountains and pool( well worth it as I didn't pay any extra for balcony or sea view). The room was above the snack bar in the separate building so was very quiet as only a few rooms in this building, the room was massive, fluffy white towels changed daily, room kept very clean, safe, air con, fridge all in room- if you want a good room pick 86!!!
The hotel rear entrance leads on to the little village that is s' agata which is lovely for lunch and evening drinks and extremely cheap.
The breakfast is a buffet style in the hotel and accomodated everyone, fresh fruit, juice, bread, cereals, meats etc... And dinner ...was fantastic!!! I am an extremely fussy eater but every night I found something to eat as there was a choice of 3 starters and 3 mains (usually fish, veggie and meat option)...I have just returned from my amazing holiday and stay in this hotel! I am an extremely fussy eater but every night I found something to eat as there was a choice of 3 starters and 3 mains (usually fish, veggie and meat option) so catered for everyone! IF you didn't like something they would happily make you something else just ask!! It was like 2 mains and desert every night..!! The staff were brilliant so friendly and welcoming.. You could sit in the restaurant looking out at the beautiful views!
The hotel was easierly reached by the public Sita bus and the bus was €1.20 each way, you can use the bus to reach sorrento, positano and amalfi.
The trips advertised at the hotel are great and great value! I nearly booked the Capri trip for €80 prior to my stay but when I got there it was only €43! This included pick up from the hotel, boat trip round the island to see all the grottos etc, then5 hours on Capri island, boat trip back and transport back to the hotel! By far an amazing day and Capri is a must see!!
The hotel is incredibly peaceful and quiet and just what you need after a day trip out, you can visit other areas and come back for a good night sleep!
The views are breathtaking and drinks on the terrace in the evening are a must... Rossinis were my personal faves :)
The pool is big enough and the pool area was never too busy as people are out and about on trips! No need to leave your towel on the beds to reserve them or get up at the crack of dawn! A lot of moaning about the pool being cold.... You would complain if it was hot!! It was cold but once you were in it was lovely! People have to moan about something!
I felt all the staff were completely welcoming and friendly and would do anything to help, so no idea why some reviews say the opposite, I think it's how you approach them and speak to them, if your happy and chatty to them they are back to you!
The hotel had free wifi in the lounge which is fab, a few moans as it wasn't anywhere else but your on holiday so wanting to get away from home and Facebook right?! I managed to FaceTime home and message etc in the evenings from the Lounge and terrace so just what you need to contact home to let them know your safe.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful get away, not really ideal for children as there's not much around to do, you have to travel out to visit other places.
Thank you hotel jaccarino for a fantastic stay and an amazing holiday! Definitely will return here again!More
