We had a short break in Sorrento staying at the Grand Hotel Due Golfi. We both loved it. The hotel was spotless, the staff both helpful and charming. We ate in the hotel in the evening. The food was good and reasonably priced.

Not cheap, but represents excellent value in an expensive area.Make sure to book poolside room.
Lovely location in hills overlooking sorrento. Free shuttle bus into the town, or pleasant walk down.Great outside area by infinity pool with loungers, comfortable sofas and outside restaurant.
Very nice and reasonably priced food. Reception will also recommend local country restaurants who will collect and return you to hotel.
Staff were excellent, especially reception who were so helpful.

This was our seventh (or possibly eighth) visit to the Hotel Due Golfi. Whilst much has now changed with the introduction of the infinity pool and with changes to the restaurant menus and Gala nights, these are all improvements to what was already an excellent hotel. What makes the hotel special? Quite simply the staff from the cleaning ladies through to the reception desk and restaurant, they will all do everything they can to make sure that your holiday is one to remember.

The minibus provides regular access to Sorrento but local buses are also available close by. A sea view room with views over to Naples and Vesuvius is worth the extra cost and with wine starting at only 9 Euro a bottle you can afford it! Lunch time food is available around the pool too.

We have been here so many times that we organise everything ourselves. Book scheduled flights with British Airways, taxi via the hotel to pick you up (much quicker than having to wait for all package flights to arrive and then go through multiple drop-offs on arrival and pick-ups on departure) and finally book the hotel itself direct - it works out about the same cost, if not cheaper.

Finally, if you look through Tripadvisor, you will see that it has many returning guests like ourselves (we've even been there for New Year), you can't get a better recommendation than that!

This is a fantastic hotel with everything to offer, friendly staff, excellent food, great views, comfortable, clean and spacious, free shuttle service, free pool towels, what more could you ask for. We spent a week here in September and can't wait to go back. The weather was glorious, we arranged three tours which picked us up from hotel, although it would be easy to go on the public transport, which stops outside the hotel and you can buy tickets for bus at reception, who are always willing to help and speak fluent English, and I heard French and German spoken. There is a buffet breakfast with an abundance of breads, cakes, croissants, jams, cereals, fruit, bacon, eggs, mushrooms and sausage and freshly squeezed orange juice plus coffee and teas. Evening meal is a choice of 4 starters and 4 mains with a buffet selection of antipasti. There was a gala dinner with music on the Wednesday and Friday that we were there. Drinks are reasonable, although I only drank wine, but good selection. Accommodation is comfortable, we had a side room with a patial view, try to upgrade to full view if you can, rooms have a fridge to store cold drinks and a free safe. The pool has recently been refurbished and there is a new infinity pool with beds and shades, we had no problem getting a bed, and the pool side showers are both hot and cold! Finally, the staff are amazing, especially Giuseppe, Gennaro and Franco in the restaurant, we would like to personally thank them for their brilliant customer service.
