Absolutely beautiful place to stay
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jul 16, 2017
This hotel is honestly one of a kind! It is a quaint luxury hotel that overlooks the ocean and Mount Vesuvius. It is about a 15 minute walk to the town of Sant' Agata which is also so quaint with little shops and restaurants and where you can catch the public bus to Sorrento or Positano. The staff at this hotel were so helpful in arranging a car service from Naples Airport to the hotel (90 Euros), booked us a driver to visit Pompeii (40 Euros/hour) and helped in booking a boat tour to Capri (85 Euros). Awesome, awesome staff. The rooms were so amazing, with a great view and were so nicely decorated and clean. In the morning we would make a coffee in the room and sit out on the terrace and just listen to the birds singing (rooster crowing in the distance too) and look at Vesuvius. So, so quiet and peaceful. We spent one day just laying by the pool relaxing....it was awesome! Breakfasts were amazing and so was dinner. The waiter/waitress were excellent as well. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. It was so nice to come back to the peacefulness after a day of touring. Would go back to this place in a heart beat and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Amalfi coast.

We were so impressed with the beauty of the hotel and the genuinely warm welcome from the staff.

The hotel is about a 30 minute taxi ride from town on the top of a hill but away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. It was wonderful to return after a day of sightseeing to the tranquility of the hotel and to be treated so warmly by the staff. Josie, the waitress, was such a lovely girl, nothing was too much trouble and you really felt like royalty.

We ate at the hotel the first night, a Neapolitan special evening which consisted of four courses including local wine for €40 which we thought was great value. The food was exquisite, so fresh and tasty and it was a very romantic evening sitting on the terrace watching the sunset.

Would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for old world luxury in a beautiful setting.

We stayed in one of the three very pleasant cottages which are not on the hotel grounds but 2-300 metres away on the opposite side of the quiet road.
The tour operators and hotel advertise the cottages as part of the hotel although
self caterered. They indicate you have use of hotel facilities ie pool, tennis court cookery school etc, and can book the restaurant for breakfast and dinner if you wish.
Here is the word of CAUTION. If the hotel , as in our experience, has been booked by a private group you will NOT get access to the apparently beautiful hotel or any of the facilities!!!.
The cottages are very nice 4* ish. Very clean ,attractive garden and you have use of a fairly shallow pool which is shared by another hotel / bar .
St Agata is a lovely quite village and a good base to tour the beautiful area from.
The service from Maria in particular was excellent.

Every wonderful word written by other guests who were anxious to offer this special place a raving review is true! Everything from the most amazing location and views to the 5 star meals of unbelievably fresh food, and most importantly, the truly caring staff is true! We just returned to the US after staying 6 nights at Oasi Olympia and we were so sad to leave!

So, instead of repeating the great things this place has to offer or the careful planning of everything we could possibly want or need, I want to share the "emotional experience" we had. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and we wanted a romantic, quiet, stress-free place to be able to relax between the adventures we had planned and the cooking classes we were looking forward to taking. The minute we arrived and were warmly greeted right at the car by Maria, we new we were someplace very special.

Room tip: We were in the Penthouse Suite but every room is special and has great views!

Right from the drive through the mountains along the twisty roads with beautiful views in every direction I knew it was the place we had hoped it would be. The welcome was so warm and friendly, not with the usual check in process, but with olives, wine and smile. Feels like we were in a home, and the entire team treated and looked after us all week.
The views.. the views.. the views.. absolutely epic, with the Amalfi coast on one side and the Bay of Naples, Capri and Vesuvius on the other.. simply breathtaking. It was the most perfect place to propose to other half.. we are now engaged!
The food was superb, from simple tasty breakfast, to beautiful meals in the evening. The menu was just a guide as far as we could tell, and we were offered the chefs creation of the day, or my two daughters could just ask for what they fancied. Nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were lovely, comfy beds, loads of antique useful furniture for clothes and the bathroom was equipped with a spa shower and bath which was great, and had many toiletries, slippers, bath robes to use. Nothing seemed to have been forgotten.
We wanted to go to Capri, and Giovanni organised it all for us, and the day sailing and snorkelling around Capri with our own Captain was one that me and my family will never forget... once in a lifetime stuff.
As there are only 11 rooms, the pool and grounds we quiet, but well equipped, very clean and my daughters had a lovely time splashing around. Wine, beers and olives seemed to appear next to you where you were!
We did sadly have to leave, and even though we've been back home a week or so now, we miss being there! The last touch of service was when I left our passports in our room and the hotel found them and did not stop until they had made contact with us. We made it back to collect them, refreshments supplied, hotels offered in Roma as we had to rearrange our flight, nothing more could have been done.
We had waited such a long time to holiday in Italy and it lived up to and surpassed every expectation.
If you do not choose to stay with these tremendous people, in a perfect location with delightful views then you are mad, and we can't wait to go back.

Room tip: Our suit was Capri, and looked over the Amalfi coast, with stunning views over to Vesuvius and Capri from the terrace just outside the room.

The Oasi is very much an Oasis, a place of refuge and peace. A number of adjectives come to mind: quiet, serene, elegant, charming, and sophisticated. The amenities and services of this boutique hotel are equivalent of a five star rating (except for lower cost). The chef is amazing. The staff go out of their way to meet the needs and address any difficulties guests are having. Customer service is their guiding value. We send a special thanks to Alesandro and Maria and all the staff for their kindnesses and efforts. The Oasi is truly a beautiful place, a remarkable and rare hotel. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend there.
