We chose to stay here while walking the Camino de Invierno, in part to have the feeling of history that this Parador offers. There was nothing that disappointed, and would single out the excellent 'front of house' treatment that we received, especially from Sara. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Parador for anyone wanting to stay in Monforte de Lemos or in the area.

Room Tip: Seek out a room in the historic 'old part' of the hotel for sleeping - and eat !!

Lovely room in old restored convent with great views of the town and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast buffet is excellent as was the dinner. Prices were quite reasonable and the service was very good. The rooms were generously sized and very comfortable and the room was spotless. Well worth a stay if you are in the less visited region of Spain.

A stunning hotel with great views of the town of Monforte de Lemos and the beautiful Galician landscape.
Had wanted to stay here since my last visit to the town so I booked it and was not dissapointed in any way.
One night just wasn't long enough.

This is really a marvelous parador! The restoration of this convent at the top of a hill has been excellently achieved and its location is also good to get to know beautiful Galicia. Rooms are quite spacious, bathrooms have everything you would expect from a good hotel, personnel are kind and helpful and the restaurant will provide you with a good gallego meal. The views from the rooms are fabulous. It's got reading rooms, very comfortable, and good heating, a necessity in Galicia's treacherous weather.

Mountain view. Apt for having the traditional Cocido Gallego which is huge and greasy but worth trying..at least once in a lifetime. We had flan as dessert which had nothing extraordinary. Service was very good. Dont forget your cameras for the beautiful views photos. Worth the trip from santiago de compostela.
