The only thing we regret is too short stay. Well-groomed territory including pool and garden. Spotless clean room. Perfect breakfast. Excellent service. You will have to walk few minutes to the beach, or take a shuttle to the port, however, nice views from the pool area will compensate that with a premium. Special thanks to the hosts for the festive dinner, it was above all expectations.

Our family spent almost two weeks at this family-owned resort on Vulcano Island and would certainly recommend it to others. This is an extremely well-run hotel: hygiene is kept to the highest standards, owners and staff are kind and attentive and food is delicious. In Italy is very rare to find hotels offering such a great variety of choices for breakfast: fresh fruit, eggs, cold cuts, tasty juices, almond milk and delicious pastry for those with a sweet tooth. I have particularly appreciated the super foods station with seeds and dry fruits to start the day well. Dinners are also great - the owner-cook takes care of the of the restaurant and we have ended up eating here many times as everybody loves it.

Last, there is a lovely pool with great views where one can spend the day and just chill....

Sebastiana and Franco (staff) could not have done more for us if they tried. Our stay was amazing, comfortable (upgraded to bungalows by pool), quiet and hospitable.
This hotel understands hospitality on a high level.
I recommend going in April as it is low season, I have a feeling they get very busy in high season.
Pool was lovely with jacuzzi
Food at hotel was really really good and wine was outstanding.
Location excellent and away from sulphur smell (depended on which way the wind blew and not sure about when it get super hot in summer)
It is about a 10 min walk to port
(Franco picked us up and dropped us back)
All in all Vulcano was incredible and this hotel made our stay amazing.
Highly recommend
Be aware there are a lot of mosquitoes outside the room!

My wife and I have spent several nights in this charming hotel, at the beginning of October, 2017.
The travel from Messina with a special boat whith hydrofoils was unfortunately a nightmare, due to the crazy conditions of the sea with a terrific wind and huges waves. Most of passengers were sicks (it's very usual by stormy weather !) but as everybody got a vomit bag before the departure, all finally went well. If you encounter such severe weather conditions as described above, you should stay on the continent and wait for better moment : your stomach will infinitely be grateful to you :-)
That's said, the situation of the hotel is not far from the harbour (10' by foot) but sufficient not to smell the vapors of sulfur, which are really present all around because of the volcano ! All the staff is very kind and several people speak different languages (french, english, etc), whigh can be useful for those who doesn't speak italian.
This one can be climbed very easily (2½ h hour go and return) and is really a must-to-see. If you wear good shoes, no problem at all and you can do it even with small kids (but not under 4-5 years). At the top of the volcano, there is an incredible point of view on all the Eolian islands and the reefs. We return surely next year in Sicilia for climbing the Stromboli at night (which will the subject of another review from my part...). Enjoy !

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view on the pool : extra at night (see picture !)
